I guess my main concern would be which would have better weather. Would it be too cold for the pools and the beach activities during that time of the year? I'm wondering if either place is a good vacation spot during Thanksgiving with young kids (ages 1,5,7).

We have spent the last three Thanksgivings at VB. The weather has always been wonderful. The ocean is still warm enough to swim in. The Thanksgiving Dinner buffet is outstanding.

Vero will likely have better weather, just due to the geography...

We have been to HH several times for Thanksgiving and absolutely love it. We have experienced outdoor temperatures in the 70s, but the ocean is too cold for swimming at that time of year (for most people anyhow!). The pools are heated, so it just depends on your tolerance for possible cold air following a swim!

Since there is no restaurant at the resort, you will either need to cook your own Thanksgiving dinner (which is what I do), go out to eat, or order the dinner that the resort prepares and delivers to your room.

We absolutely love spending Thanksgiving there!!

Has anyone had luck booking Vero 1BR units at 7 months out for T'giving week? I am looking into this for '06, but am afraid that we won't get a room due to the holiday. Love to hear of experiences with this. Thanks!
