HH in March?

Planning on going for our daughter's Spring Break in March for a week. We'll most likely be going with anther family and renting a 2BR. With the 7 month window (we own at SSR), what are our chances of getting a 2BR in March? How's the weather then? Do the area golf courses offer car service to pick you up? Or does Disney have shuttles to take you there? Thanks!!

March is still pretty cold there - not a popular season - so you have good odds of getting a 2BR there. Average highs for March are 69F. If you want to see the weather patterns over the year, Wikipedia has a good reference on Hilton Head Island (look under Climate):

Disney shuttles exist only for transportation to and from the beach house.

We've been to HHI twice during March, the March spring break both times. Availability didn't seem too bad. I remember switching to a 1 BR about 2 months beforehand,and I was pleasantly surprised that one was available on such short notice. The weather seems to really vary. One time we went and the weather was in the low 70s, sunny, pleasant. The next time we went, it was cold,windy,cloudy. One other time, we went in late February and it was miserable-40s and 50s, rainy, windy, lousy weather. Yet all the CMs told us how the week before that had been warm,sunny. So I guess you never know off-season.
