We are considering trying to get into HH for President's Week, and I am wondering if any of you can tell me what my chances are of getting in at this late date, and what is the weather like there in February. Thanks

when I tried 2 months ago to get a studio or one bedroom for that weekend, I had to be wait listed but I got in two days later. So, if there is nothing, be sure to waitlist. Never hurts :)

Just to let you know....we have been there for New Year's 4 times and many of the restaurant/shops close for a while after Jan holiday. don't know if it will affect anything for you in Feb.

DeeCee735,

We booked HH 2 months ago for President's week. We didn't have enough points and got a great price for the additional days, $123.00/night.

We went last February and it was cool. Some days were okay for shorts but others were too cool. The pool is heated but it can be very chilly when you step out. Still, we had a very nice and relaxing time and are returning this year. Maybe we will see you there!

Also, we found plenty of restaurant choices last February.

Great! That's our main concern when we go next month. We've gone in March-Old Oyster Factory looked packed so we never got there. We're hoping that since we're going in February this year, crowds will be lower and we might get in there. Any experiences with that resturaunt? Any other good seafood resturaunts? We went to one, I think it was Captain's Seafood, and it was great-very casual and great seafood.

Sorry, we've never been there. My DS15 is not into seafood but if you ask him about the ribs at Tony Roma's, they are the best!

Enjoy your trip.

We will be there too! The kingfisher is right across the bridge and is good but pricey. We like Magnolias for there early bird special. I love HH when it not crowded, it is easier to get in the restaurants and not as much traffic. last year when we went we had one perfect day of 70 degree weather and one cold day. I used to live in HH and even though some stuff closes down until March HH is becoming more of a year round destination which helps with dining out. You will ove the Disney resort there. Very relaxing. If you have specifc questions about HH just let me know.

Old Oyster Factory is good, but truthfully, I like it for its atmosphere more than I do for the food. ;) Their "sister" restaurant, Redfish, is a better choice IMHO.

You can also try Hudson's for seafood; it's a step down in atmosphere from Old Oyster Factory, but the food is great. We could make a meal out of the hushpuppies alone!
