HH golf?

Does anyone use their DVC Hilton Head resort membership to golf? Are there courses near the Disney resort? Do Disney members qualify for any discounts on nearby courses?

When we stayed at HH we played golf. They set it up for us. We had a great time. We had a rental car so getting to the course was not an issue. Hilton Head is not a large island so any golf courses should be quite easy to get to. I can't remember if there was a golf discount. Have a great time! -Paula

Everytime we go to HH, DH plays once or twice. So far, he's tried out 5 different golf courses. His favorite is the Robert Trent Jones Course at Palmetto Dunes. The resort made reservations last year, and DH thought he got a cheaper rate than advertised at the course, suggesting he got a discount. So he had the resort make his reservations this year, and it didn't seem cheaper than advertised, so he doesn't think there's a discount. Doesn't really matter to him whether or not there's a discount-he just loves to golf there-and so many courses, so little time!

You used to be able to get a packet from the front desk with several courses listed on it and the discounts they gave DVC members.

We haven't asked for the list for a couple of years, so I don't know if it even exists anymore. But when DH and DS make their tee times, they (if they remember!) ask if there are any discounts for staying at Disney; I don't think they've gotten any recently, tho.
