HH during Spring Break

I originally wanted to go to Vero for spring break but called on the day at 7 months out and nothing was available. I was told HH is available. So my questions are what is there to do in March at HH? Is the weather still chilly? Should we just plan on going to WDW and hanging out at the pool and not going to the parks? I am ready for a no park vacation!

HH weather in March is iffy. It could be 80 or 60 for highs all in the same week. We went in April once and the kids swam in the pool (it's heated) but I wasn't getting in. There's a lot of golf around, and mini golf for those that prefer that. I'm sure the HH experts will give you more info soon.

I would think iffy is the best you can get out of HHI in March. We have found March (even April) to be iffy at VB. We have only been to HHI in June and September, but I suspect anything before May is likely to be not much time on the beach except for shell hunting. Don't mean to rain on your parade, but you should be aware. This would be a throw of the dice in hopes of getting a 7 or 11.

March 21-29. Is this Easter week? Looks like maybe I asked questions for nothing if the MS person told me there was lots of availability they must have been wrong!

Based on what everyone is saying about the weather I think I will stick to WDW.

I was able to book a 2BR at HH for March 21-28 (Easter weekend and the week following) at the 7 month mark. I did call day by day to make sure I got it. Note, HH has mostly 2BRs so the answer you get regarding availability could depend on the size of unit you're requesting.

Personally, I thought it was a bargain.....only 206 points for a 2BR for the whole week during a holiday week. And, it's within driving distance from Ohio, so we can avoid the inflated airline rates during the holiday period and won't have to rent a car.

I'm setting low expectations with the rest of the family regarding weather.....highs in the 50s are o.k. with me......50s after a long winter feels pretty darn warm.....plenty nice enough for biking, hiking, mini golf, etc. Highly likely it will be warmer there than in Ohio the last weekend in March!

I'd love to hear what others who have been there during that time of the year have to say about activities!

Easter is March 23rd. I called this past Saturday when I figured I could get the whole ressie. Didn't even ask for a specific room type, MS told me there was nothing available until the 28th. So we're going to OKW instead

We had no problem reserving six nights at a 2 BR for March 30 - April 5. Now I realize how fortunate we were.
