HH cash ressie needed info for Sat., 11/5

Hi - I posted this on rent/trade, but I haven't got a response for a couple of days, so I thought I'd re-post here.

I'm looking to rent points/pay cash for an HH stay 11/5-11/7 (2 nights, studio). The Sat. point amount is quite high (21). Expedia is listing a 2BR at $175 for 11/5. Can anyone give me an indication whether a DVC-discounted cash studio would be avialable for 11/5? Would a member be able to reserve a cash room for me? I would then do cash for Sat. 11/5, and rent the points for Sun. 11/6.

To get the member cash discount, the member must be staying in the room. That particular discount not available to you.

I just spent two nights at HH using the Disney Visa rate of $175/night (after tax) for a 2br. This rate was better than the Member rate, at least for April 30th and May 1st.

I would just go with Expedia.

A member could book for you, but not at the DVC cash discount, and there's really nothing in it for the member if they are not selling you points?? Also, if you don't show for the cash reservation, the member's credit card would get billed.

Thanks for the help everyone. I think I'll call HH directly and see if I can get a non-member cash studio reservation.
