HH beach house question

Can I get a child's vest to use AT the beach (from the beach house pool area), or are the vests ONLY for the pool? I get so nervous about my ds getting sucked under (he's very small for his age).

There is no undertow at the HH beach. It is a great beach for children with a very gradual dropoff.

I'm not aware of any flotation devices available at the beach house. You may want to take your own equipment if you feel it is needed. There are lifeguards on the beach.

Our first trip there, our youngest was 16 months. We bought him a life jacket which we always put on him when we were at the beach. It just became part of the outfit for him. While he never needed it, it gave us a bit of peace of mind.

Last year, we didn't feel the need for it. The beaches are awesome at Hilton Head.
