I thought I booked marked the thread... but I guess I didnt..

Anyone know local AOL numbers? Fees? Will the hotel fee for the call, cost an arm and a leg?

Any other options?

While I don't have the numbers available, there are some AOL dialup numbers available as local calls from the resort. Local calls are .35 for DVC members and .75 for other guests.

Be careful to be certain it is a local call- any calls off the island are long distance and will also have a surcharge in addition to the long-distance charges.

I've used a local dialup for internet service. Hargray (the local telephone company on the island) offers a week of dialup service for $20 (I think there may be another option around $15). There is still a .35 charge per local call. If you have AOL on your laptop, just find a local number (you can probably find the numebr before you even go to HH).
