These cases are :goodvibes gorgeous, has anyone ordered them? Would love feedback, best pricing you've found etc. TIA!

I don't have the xcase but did get the 20" 4wd.
We bought them for a adults only trip and fit a weeks worth of stuff into both of them.
The 4wd drive has 4 wheels on the bottom that swivel so it's very easy to get in and around the airport and was even easier to pull down the aisle in the plane.
It is also expandable which makes it nice for the return home.
We bought at the Bay for $99.

We just bought 2 sets of the Heys XCase. Each set had a 30" 4x4 and 26" 4x4, and cost us $114 per set. One set was the stainless steel color and the other was black. Yes, we got a great deal! (They were selling the luggage each piece at HBC for $129 for the 26" and $139 for the 30".) We bought the 2 sets at Costco in Marysville, Washington, the first week of January when we did some cross-border shopping.

They are very nice, but durable?? We'll have to use them to give you a verdict on their duability. The real test will be when we use them in March to Hong Kong/Macao/Phuket, May to Las Vegas, and then July to Southern California.

How ironic that it's Heys.ca, they don't ship to the US, yet you got them at such a steal of a price at Costco! I wish there was a Costco in the Buffalo area. Someone else posted that they bought Crocs at their Costco also! Not here though.

I was in Vancouver/Whistler for ten days last spring and loved it. Have not been to Vegas in a while but it's fun, and used to live near Disneyland. You will have so much fun! I even had a friend that went to Macau last summer to teach VBS.

Thanks for the info, will keep my eye out for good deals.

We have a really large collection of Heys suitcases (Curzer2's), in addition to two bright red original xcase's.

While I loved the shiny new car exterior at first, and we NEVER checked the xcase per the Heys warning - they scratch *very* easily. In fact, DH has noted that sometimes if he's running through a terminal to catch a flight, and the xcase topples a little, it's caused the entire bottom corners to lose paint and turn white. I might have to post a pic to show what I mean, not sure if that makes sense.

In any case, the other problem we're having is the bottom support on BOTH xcases has either come loose or fallen off. Per Heys, this is a "common" problem - and if we choose to spend the money to ship them to Mississauga, they can likely fix it while they are under warranty

If you can score one for super cheap, I think it's wonderful to have such lightweight suitcases. Not to mention the xcase has been perfect for carry on for the DH, as he travels on biz quite a bit. However, would I buy them again? Nope...

In terms of sales, The Bay is good - as is the Home Shopping Network. If you've got AirMiles, they have a variety of Heys products available for redemption too. The good part about buying at The Bay - they take the Heys products back for repair (if you look before you buy, you'll see they have line ups waiting for fixes)... Sad, but all part of life is you want stylish luggage, says our local store :rolleyes1

Okay... DH wants me to post again. From his perspective:

I think the Heys products are overrated. Compared to the "cheaper" or plain looking luggage you can get on the market today, I regret spending the money on the Heys sets. Apparently DW wanted trendy, and did not think about long term quality!

That's all from the "man of the house"... otherwise known as the jet setter :rotfl:

Thanks abirdd and abirdd's DH! Yes, for some reason we are attracted to the glamourous beauty, and perhaps not the practicality of items at times! My DH would second that too - "Is it practical?"
me - "ummm it's pretty!"

I will still look for one to try it out and just keep in mind that we'll have to treat it well.

p.s. do you really have 4 dogs and 2 cats? What breeds?

Yes, it's true...
2 Greyhounds (both ended their careers at Sanford-Orlando)
1 Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
1 Chihuahua
2 DSH cats
And a tank of fishies...

Crazy, but for some weird reason... the group works well together and is wonderfully quiet! They also tolerate DS (he'll be 2 at the end of Feb), and he's learned a LOT about empathy in a short period of time :)

The mouse ears pic shows Chiquita, whereas this pic from Nov 2007 shows Silver...

Thanks! They are great dogs, and considering how much they sleep - they never seemed bothered by all the noise Duncan makes!

Wow. That doesn't sound good. But is the XCase the same as the Cruzer2? I did some research on the luggage and they seem to be 2 different models. But despite that they are different models, they're probably made of the same exterior and would be susceptible to the same damage. Now that's disappointing to hear.

The Cruzer2 models have a matte finish, but they too are badly "bruised" from being put into checked luggage (which is their purpose).

In terms of our xcase models, considering they are not used as checked but carry on - they honestly do not look hot either.

If I get time today, I'll take a couple pics so everyone can see what I'm talking about.

Winners almost always has a few Xcases. I'm not 100% sure of the price...about $45 - $50. They also have some other Heys products.

We have a set of the Heys Balisticas in red. They have only been used a few times, but they have held up just fine. They have some great features inside, lots of removeable pcckets etc.. I really like the removeable garment bag in each one, even the carry on. We packed a lot into each one, the 30", 26" and 22" carry on and had no problems. They are light weight though not as light as the X case. These expand and we used that feature on the way home for all the souvies :rotfl2:

I really like the Balistica, we got a good price on the Shopping Channel and they have a 25 year warranty.

I bought a couple of the kids Disney xCases for the children as carry-ons. I hope they hold up!

I totally forgot that we bought DD one of these to!! We used it on our trip and it was fine. It is very light and we put a lot in it. We had three bathing suits, two cover ups, one t-shirt, one pair of flip flops, two winter scarves, a spring jacket and two stuffed animals in it, with room to spare. They are small inside, but they do hold a lot.
