Hey, where are all the summer cruisers?

I'm just curious to know why the summer cruise dates aren't filling up as quickly as the fall, winter and spring dates.

I have recently browsed the New and Improved Cruise List and seen that there are more cruisers on the October 11, 2003 7-night Western then there are for the either the months of June, July or August of 2003. Granted, hurricane season runs from June to November and fares tending to be more expensive during this timeframe. I'm just hoping that people are procrastinating and that cruising during this time of year doesn't have hidden problems that experienced cruisers just don't talk about.

But then again, having that big of a ship all to ourselves does have it's advantages...

My guess is that people have their winter escapes and spring breaks on their minds right now and they won't start thinking about summer vacations until about April or May.

Booked for 8/9 - cruised in August since 2000. No problems, love the weather - just don't want to take the grandkids out of school for vacation even though we could save tons of money. Same cruise is $1000 less right now for September on the DCL site.

I'm wondering the same thing. We are on the June 1 Wonder and have been on the lists alone since I booked in September. Oh well, I wouldn't mind having the boat to myself.
