The cookie at marceline's was soft and chewy. Still smaller but yummy! We take the tour this afternoon so I'll let you know how that cookie is.

Thank you for reporting back to me!! These darn cookies are important!!

The cookies I saw in Marceline's on 11/13 were hard - probably a batch that had been sitting out for a while. They were not even in the display case, actually. I was expecting to see some fresh ones inside the case, through the glass. These cookies were in a basket or bin on the counter, so most likely they had hardened.

MattsPrincess reported getting the cookies on the holiday tour and said that they were huge (and chewy).

I know that you said you don't mind that the cookies are smaller, but I actually do mind that. Since the price of the cookies is most likely the same or higher than it was in the past, I don't want to pay that for a smaller cookie. I'd be getting less for more. I really liked the huge cookies - that was a big part of the draw of getting them for me. With a smaller cookie, I am inclined to eat it all at once. With a larger cookie - like what they used to be - I can munch a little bit here and there through the day. I'd be much less likely to buy multiple cookies at that price if they are smaller. The extra large size was what I liked.

Guess I might as well jump in on the conversation for this one. DH has given up churros on this trip and traded it in for a new gingerbread cookie habit so he has tried them all over the park. I've had a few less than he has because I tend to try different snacks rather than just fixate on one. We've seen big ones, little ones, fat ones and skinny ones. Without a doubt the best ones have come from the Market House. The heads of theirs have been dunked in chocolate so they have wonderful chocolate covered Mickey ears!
If I had known DH was going to like them so well I guess I should have had him take pics for a gingerbread cookie photo challenge!

Marie, you're saying there are all different sizes of the cookies? In this case, the ones with the chocolate ears are the ones we are referring to - they used to be very big cookies with portly waistlines, but they have been downsized. That is, unless you have seen more than one size cookie with the ears?

They sell the ones with ears in all the candy shops as well as Market House and a few of the bake shops. I've seen the ones without ears at some random coffee carts and things. I'm just ticked that they made the ones with ears smaller.

Most of the places we have seen did NOT have the chocolate ears. Maybe they were already sold out? :confused3 I just pass them by at this point. Gotta have those chocolate ears!
