Patty, I just took a look at your scrapbook on 2 Peas. Excellent!
What size are the pictures in the Port Orleans layout?

Patty and other scrapbookers,
If you are using a digital camera, how do you print your pictures? Do you use your own printer, (if so, what size do you print you pictures at?) or do you go to a Kodak picture maker or something similar?

Also, do you put the borders and text on your photograph before you print it out? Can you only do this if you are printing at home?

Do you print ALL the pictures that you take at WDW?
Do you scrap ALL of them?
If not, what do you do with the extra pictures that you don't scrap?
I take a ton of pictures and could never decide which memories/pictures make it to the scrapbook....lol, so it is important to me to use all of them, (at least the ones the turned out)

hhhmmm if I recall they are 4x6's then I cropped them to fit - if your talkig about the page with the orleans logo - the pocket page photo of the foutnain is 5x7 (actually 7x5 since it sideways)

I have used a few different online developers and I have been thrilled with the fast service, low prices, and quality of the photos from www.winkflash.com (and it you hit 'other sizes you can get 8x12 which are great for a 12x12 layout sometimes)
I do print some odd ones at home - like I had the one of the castle in that layout printed 4x6 - then decided to go nut with Photomaster (or was it printshop??) and I made the big photo - then copy andpasted it and made it slightly smaller - then added the border to that to give it the layer look - then added the text on the photo their too.

I could never scrap all the digital ones as I take 10 of the same thing just to make sure one is perfect! I just burn them all to disk though! If I printed extra pictures I do 2 page spreads for each of the kids albums (my 2002 trip was not digital and I did scrap every picture :faint:

I am not one to take a TON of pictures - I am having so much having fun I don't take pictures of EVERY ride, the outside of them all, or everything we eat (just osme of it! ha ha)...

Hope that Helps!

Do you also have a photo album to put all the other pictures that don't make it in the scrapbook, or do you only print the ones you intend to scrap?

we usually take a bunch of pictures... (I'm a little camera happy as my dd puts it). but it's usually character related. I have castle pictures and firework pictures but that's about it, I don't have ride pictures or plant pictures, etc. I use winkflash (or cvs if they have the 10 free digital prints) to get my pictures printed. Winkflash is 12 cents a picture and 99 cents flat rate shipping. Sometimes I will run my pictures through photoshop before uploading them just to get redeye out or lighten them or something like that. I don't print them all though, just the good ones. :) I do have boxes of the ones I didn't scrap though (back in the day when I was using a real camera vs digital). I use them to put in picture frames around the house and stuff.. might make a paper bag book for the coffee table...

the cvs kodak machine will let you print on your pictures and put borders around them. you can also crop your pictures and lighten/darken, get rid of redeye there too.

i have to say that once going digital, i don't print out as many pictures...i print out the pictures i think i will use. before with film, i alway got doubles and one went straight into a photo album...my kids still love looking at those...but now since digital, i haven't done that...and that is wrong...my kids don't know how/where on the computer to look for the pictures...so with that digital or me is doing my family a big disservice (if that is even a word!!!)

it is funny because you see all these lo's with stuff that you never even thought of taking, and you thought you took lots of pictures. i love that...that makes me want to take that shot the next time i go.

as far as printing my pictures, i go to sams for those. i think they come out cheaper than to print them myself.

Yep...have to agree since I've gone digital....I don't "waste" alot of photos that I don't end up scrapping. In the long run it's a money saver...no more double prints of blured people...or someones hand in the viewfinder :goodvibes I Only print good photos...that will be displayed or scrapped.

I get my prints done at Costco. And I have to say they do an excellent job....plus I can upload all the images I want printed at home to the Costco site....and just pick them up at Costco when I get down that way.
