How exciting!! :yay: His first trip to Disney!! This is a memory that will last a lifetime!!!:thumbsup2
A great place to celebrate his Birthday:bday: is at Chef Mickey's!! :mickeyjum He will get to meet the characters, get autographs, and take pictures with them!! There is also buffet meal.the adult side consists of a carving station ,salad, vegetables and different potatoes for side dishes. The children' s line has all the old stand by's,pizza, chicken fingers, mac and cheese, hot dogs, all things kids usually like!! For desert they have a desert station with pasteries an area where you can make your own ice cream sudae, with a huge selection of toppings!!! Needless to say every kids dream!!:cloud9: If you would like him to have a birthday cake:cake: you can call WDW dine and they will get you in touch with the restaurant so you can order one. They will ask you what his favorite character is and they can put it on the cake!! As I recall they bring the cake out just before they sing the birthday song for all who are celebrating their special day! :woohoo: They may also send his favorite character over when the song is playing to "help" them blow out the candles!! :cool1: Can't tell you how much fun and what a memory that is!! :thumbsup2 To this day we still talk and laugh about it!! Maybe that would be something you would be interested in doing!! Also if you tell the front desk at the resort it's his b-day they may also send him a photo of his favorite character and balloons!! party: I do remember them doing that for my DD when she turned 4!! That was a while ago and not sure if they still do that but it would be easy to find out and it makes a great surprise for the b-day boy! Hope this long winded response helped in some way!!:rotfl::lmao:
Whatever and however you spend his special day hope you have a great time!! :yay: If you have any questions:confused: just ask! You'll always find an answer here!
BTW WL great place!! :thumbsup2 Look forward to reading all about your special trip!! ;) See you on the boards!!:surfweb:

Have a nice and safe trip coming. :)

Thank you soooo much for all of the wonderful information! Yes, I already looked at the cake thread on here! It was the BEST!! I have so many great ideas now. I've already planned out all of our character meals for the week and plan on contacting the Wilderness Lodge about his birthday. I'm also going to call the florist to have something waiting on him in the hotel room when we arrive! He HAS to have the personalized ears!! LOL! I may bug you later about the birthday stuff!:thumbsup2 Thanks again for all of your help! April

You couldn't have picked a more perfect resort, it's our favorite. I think you all should get the Mickey ears, we have them and we're not young, only place where an adult can be a kid again. I hope all your wishes come true and you keep coming back year after year forever, happiest place on earth.

if you'd rather have your son build his own ears, - select colors, patches, etc, you could take him to The Chapeau in MK. Its on the right side of Main St. not far from the entrance. It'd be less expensive than ordering them through the florist. And would be truely personalized.

Also there is a shop in DTD where he can build his own ears. Don't forget T-Rex in DTD also for build a dino.
