Hey Mom, Check out my new Spider-Man move! (Last day & Final Thoughts - 1/10)

Whispering Canyon looks fun...it's on my to-do at Disney list!

I just got back from my stay at AKV and I understand why you like it so much! I stayed at Jambo house, but of course went to Kidani one day for lunch at Sanaa and explored there a bit. I'm so in love I even took the DVC tour!

YAY!!!! I'm glad to hear you liked it so much!

Lots to do today. Gonna try to finish this thing up in the next day or so. Let's get this thing started with my last full day at WDW. We spent it at AK.

We had an 8AM breakfast at Tusker House, so we were there pretty early.

Breakfast was awesome as usual. We love the character interaction here.

Our first stop was Kilimanjaro Safari.

DSC01268.jpg

We like to get the first showing of Lion King after the Safari, but Bryan and Sonny wanted to trek over to Everest for some Fastpasses. We almost missed the show waiting for them to return, but they got there just in time.

It was awesome as usual. We headed to It's Tough to Be a Bug next. I was hesitant about this because both kids freaked out last time we watched it, but Bryan insisted they watch it again. Sam remembered where he freaked out and covered his eyes.

Our next stop was Kali. Cooper wanted to ride, so he went to the stick to be measured and...

he was so excited to be told he was tall. Finally!!!!

He said he liked it, but he did not like getting wet. Oh well.

Up next...Everest...Madeline's first time.

She was so nervous.

After Everest, we headed to Dinoland. We decided to let the kids play while some of us headed over to ride Dinosaur. So, we left Bryan and the kids in....

We headed back to the Boneyard after riding DInosaur. Cooper had to go to the bathroom, so I took him. We stopped to ride Triceratop Spin on our way back since there wasn't a line.

By this time it was about 2 or 3, so we were ready to leave. We had to take our PP pic at the park and get the boys their souveniers before we left.

Cooper fell asleep on the VERY short bus ride from AK to Kidani. He must have been super-tired.

After getting back to Kidani, we rested for the rest of the afternoon before heading to Chef Mickey's for our traditional last supper.

DSC01417.jpg

We had an awesome meal like always.

We had two more traditions to do before we left.

First, ride the monorail.

Second, take a picture in the steel ears behind the COntemporary.

Next, the last morning...

That's so great that Cooper got to ride Kali River Rapids! I'm with him. I like the ride, but I don't like getting wet. :thumbsup2

Your sister's face on Everest is priceless!

I just finished my TR today. It was a little sad, but also felt good to put the trip behind me and start thinking about future trips. :goodvibes I'm excited to see how yours wrapped up!

I love how Cooper is so excited he is tall enough KRR, but in the next photo on the ride he looks terrified. :rotfl:

Awesome Trip Report!!!

Loved the tanned pics of all of you...

What a great time you guys had...

We are counting down the days here...

Only 3 and a half weeks of soccer..

Only 9 weeks until our annual Mardi Gras trip to Disney!!!!

Bay Lake Towers.. here we come!!!

Coach---You guys are going to love Bay Lake Tower!

Last day...how sad...:sad1:
At least you have some fun traditions to look forward to! I meant to take pictures of our kids in those Mickey ears last summer, but never did.

I know we will!!! I can't begin to tell you how excited we are!!! After BLT, we will only have one more WDW DVC resort to stay at.. VWL.. then we will be able to say that we have visited all of them!!!!

I really dig the annual steel Mickey ears... now that our beloved Pooh sign has been removed.. perhaps we will begin using those as well with the boys.. although Chase is probably too big for them already...

I loved all of the pictures of Cooper excited about the fact that he was tall enough to ride Kali River Rapids. So cute!

I hate that your trip is about to come to a close.

Happy Hump Day everyone!!!

Only about 2 months away from our annual Mardi Gras Vacation to Disney...

One thing we are looking forward to is checking out the "new" Winnie the Pooh ride.. at MK.. heard good things about it.. makes me wonder if the new war cry for rope drop will now be "Pooh or POO!!"
Instead of "Dumbo or Death!"

Sweet.. only a 4 day week with the students.. and then a 3 day weekend!!!!

Countdowns- Only 10 days of soccer left..

About 7 and a half weeks until we leave!!!

Life is good.. have a good day everyone!!!

He loved it, but hated the fact that he got wet. He as said he will ride it again this summer, but he wants a poncho.

What's funny is that she has to pee when she gets nervous. SHe desparately had to pee again at the last second when we got on the train.

I am putting the finishing touches on mine today. That just means it is time for a new trip.

I love how Cooper is so excited he is tall enough KRR, but in the next photo on the ride he looks terrified. :rotfl:

We thought it was funny as well....after we gave him his sympathy first of course. I was that parent with the kid crying his eyes out when he got off the ride.

Thanks Randy! It's time for some new tans now.

I always dread that last day like everyone else. I wish the time would just last longer.

I really dig the annual steel Mickey ears... now that our beloved Pooh sign has been removed.. perhaps we will begin using those as well with the boys.. although Chase is probably too big for them already...

I was wondering where you were going to take your new picture every trip.

I loved all of the pictures of Cooper excited about the fact that he was tall enough to ride Kali River Rapids. So cute!

It was so adorable, Lisa. He was so excited. It was funny to see how differently he felt after the ride.

I thought the only thing that changed with Pooh was the queue. The ride itself, I thought, hadn't changed.

The plans for our last day....always a sad moment of the trip.

Bryan and Sonny had plans to (finally) play golf at one of the Disney courses. He had always wanted to play a round while we were in WDW, but he never had someone with us thay liked to play. They had the first tee time of the day at the Palm. Bryan loved it he said it was a beautiful course. Lucky for him, Dad likes to play golf as well, so they have plans to play quite a bit this summer as well.

While they were playing golf, Madeline and I brought the boys back to the MK to take one last ride on a few attractions. We got there opening again and left around 11 or 11:30 to meet the guys back at Kidani.

Continued in next post...
!

After meeting up back at Kidani, we all got into our vehicles and drove away from Kidani. It was a sad departure for us because we love Kidani so much. We knew we wanted to go to VWL for this trip, so it would be a couple of years till we returned for another stay. We headed over to DTD for lunch and a bit of shopping before heading home.

Another successful trip!

This trip was wonderful! We hit some bumps in the road travelling with my SIL since she considers herself a Disney expert but isn't familiar with a lot of things there. I feel that after this trip with my family this summer that we may want to have a trip like we have had in the past where we travel alone, but meet up with friends every once in a while. I love that we took some of our days pretty easily by letting the kids guide where we went. I look forward to the next trip and am counting the days till we get there!
