I will never abandon you. Just will be a busy week. Hopefully by Thursday when I get back from taking Michael to his first day of first grade , then I will come back and be free to Dis away. I will still be checking in between now and then though, so no worries.

Yeah, I think it will be extra emotional cause when I walk into that first grade class, it will remind me of when I taught first grade and probably make me very nostolgic.

It was hard for me when my kids went into 3rd grade and I realized they were too old to have ever been in any of my classes. My oldest goes to middle school a week from Thursday. DH and I are having a hard time with that one!

Shaina is going to be a sophomore. She is so happy because she got her schedule and got into all the drafting and engineering courses she wanted. She wants to be an architect. While they were up in Chicago this past week, my fil took her to the University of Chicago campus and showed her some of the buildings, including ones by Frank Lloyd Wright. She really enjoyed that.

I'm not sure if I'm excited about my dd14 starting high school or not. Middle school was pure he**. The drama was sooo bad. I'm hoping high school will be a little better, but I doubt it. I do think my dd is better able to handle it now, though, than she was the first year she started middle school. She toughened up alot. Maybe too much.
