Hi guys!
I just got back from a great trip to WDW June 11th to June 18th. Stayed at the POFQ.
Before I left, I talked to alot of people here on the DIS who said they were going at the same time and would have there green mickey heads showing.
Well I had mine on my pack and I did not see one mickey head. My DGD had one on too.:(
Where were YOU??
I was so looking forward to meeting you guys!::yes:: Oh well!
I hope you all had as great a time as I did! We had lots of Magical moments!
We are going again next summer, maybe Ill see you then. It would be so cool to put a face to the names!:wave2:

We were there May 31 - June 6 and didn't notice any Green Mickey Heads!!! I say A LOT of Lime green! I wore a lot as well. But it is such a popular color right now, I was too uneasy about going up to anyone and asking them if they were Dis-family!!! I never did get to Home Depot (it's an hour away. We have tons of Lowe's stores here!), so I didn't have my Green Mickey Head!!! Oh well - as you say - maybe I'll get to meet some fellow Dis-ers next trip. I am still trying to decide when that should be!

We always wear some lime green and on last 6 trips have met at least 4 Dis folks. So don't give up,you will meet some sooner or later.::yes:: :wave2:

We were there basically the same time. The only confirmed Dis-er we saw was Shelleybelle who we met for our Pal Mickey swap. I wore my Mickey head everyday and tied one on our stroller too. I was hoping to meet more as well. Maybe next time.

We were there June 3 - 11 and I was wondering the same thing. I never even noticed anyone with lime green ribbon on. The only one who asked me about the Mickey heads and lime green ribbons was a cm when I was buying something. He asked what the lime green was for the Disboards or a family reunion color. I guess I just expected a sea of lime green.....::yes::

I saw a lot of lime green, but to tell you the truth, I was a little hesitant on going up to people and asking if they were Dis'ers.

If we had to stand in line for a longer period of time I probably would have asked, but when we were there (last September) we didn't wait in line for anything.

But the lime green is really a good attention getter. Looking back, I wish I would have asked some people!

Who was at beaches and cream on May 29,30? I saw someone there a couple wearing lime green dis round badge and lime green ribbons. They paid with vouchers. I didnt want to come up and interupt but wanted to tell you that a fellow diser(me) was sitting in there at the same time:teeth:

Got my Lime Green Mickey head at Home Depot last night!!! Will have it pinned to my bag in 28 days!!!!!!!!!!!!:jumping1:
:cool1:

We also drove to Disney and had our Lime Green Mickey heads tapes to every window on our car!

I looked at other cars to see if they had them, but didn't see any. I guess everyone else took "da plane!"::yes::

I think we should all assume (I know what assume can mean) that if someone is wearing the lime Mickey head or a ribbon or pin that we should not feel funny about approaching them. What's the worst that could happen? Being dragged kicking and screaming from the park? Well I guess that could happen, but probably they want to be approached and that's why they wore it. I will be there over the 4th of July wearing my Mickey on my fanny pack and I hope someone from here will say hello!

Good point!

I do regret not having asked the few people that I saw in lime green. I NEVER did see any Mickey (paint) heads. If I had seen those, I would definitely have known. These were people with the lime green ribbons or shirts.

I am sure that they probably WERE DIS board members.

So everyone, just say hello!!!!::yes::

We were driving to DW on I95 and stuck i traffic The car next to me had a lime green mickey head and I started to get all excited trying to get attention. My whole family thought I lost my mind and the driver didn't know what I was talking about untill I spoke to his wife sitting next to him. It was too funny. Gina

We had our Mickey heads May 23 - June 1 and didn't see anyone else. I put ours on pal Mickey so it was pretty obvious. The only person who noticed was Wendy from Peter Pan. We also had it on our diaper bags. I think I wasn't really focus on trying to find lime green in the sea of crowds while actually in the parks. I did look some but never saw any.

My DH is just back from a 3 night stay at the WL while attending a conference in Orlando.

He actually found you guys first years ago, he reads alone with me on the Disboards. He is generally a quiet man, a tiny bit on the shy side. After reading some of these posts I can't wait to tell him how brave he was!

He said he was walking through the lobby of the WL and heading straight at him was an entire family all dressed in LIME GREEN.
He put a smile on his face, waved at them in a happy, NONCONFRONTATIONAL WAY, and said:

"DIS-BOARDS MEMBERS?"

He said they kept walking but their heads all turned in unison to watch him and they all gave him that look you give someone that has just done something gross or inappropriate!

He told me this story with a laugh when he got home. He said "gee honey I go out on a limb for all the dis-board people and guess what? They "dissed" me!"

That is pretty much why I never said anything. I didn't want "the look"!

When we went on the Disney cruise both times, we always met up with the Dis mbrs. from this board. But then it is a little easier when there are only 2500 or so passengers vs. thousands in the parks.
