Well, I DID finally get to see Princess and the Frog last night! I loved it!!

I was a little disappointed, though, that her beautiful green dress only makes a short appearance when they are turned back into humans. I think that is one of the most beautiful princess dresses ever!!
We are counting down to our June trip and are now at
43 days!!!!!! I had thought about doing a countdown calendar for the girls starting at 45 days but I wanted to make it with the paint samples of Mickey ears and haven't gotten around to Home Depot. So, I think I'll do it starting at 30 days. Also, we are counting down school days: 22 left to go!
Okay, so if I want to finish this TR before we head out on our next vacation, I should get a move on...don't ya think?

Well, we had all been watching the weather for this day for a week because it was the only "threat" for bad weather. This was our first full day together all 28 of us and the plan was to go to Animal Kingdom, then we had an ADR at WCC at WL for 5:20pm, and a surprise for the kids after dinner. Originally we thought we would take the bus and had planned to be at the bus stop at 8:30am. We didn't necessarily want to make RD we just wanted to be there around the time it opened. However, the night before we all agreed we'd just drive so we planned to instead drive out at 8:30am. We all watched the weather before going to bed and texted back and forth about what we thought.
I woke up early on Friday and turned the TV on to watch the weather...it did not look good. Funny thing, my cousin and her family were in the connecting room next to ours and I could hear they were watching the weather, too.

I could even hear her DH's commentary about what he was seeing "80% chance of rain for the entire state of Florida, hm! and severe weather warnings! hm!"
The walls were a little thin, maybe?
So, at 7:53 I received a text from one of my cousins' DW's saying "according to weather.com, rain will start at 8am and last throughout afternoon."

So I reply, what should we do? She replies, "sleep for now, then meet at breakfast (in food court) @ 9:45 to discuss the day". Well, the interesting thing here was that it wasn't raining out. It was barely overcast. Could this prediction be so wrong???
Now, I have to say the only reason why we were so worried about the weather was because only my family and one other had AP's, the rest of the group had bought 3 day FL resident passes. Some were going to use all 3 days on this trip, others were only going to use 2 and come back to use the last day on a later trip. So, the point was that they didn't want to "waste" a day if it was going to be a wash-out. I get a text from another cousin "80% chance and thunderstorms....did it rain overnight?" um, no. So, we meet in the food court, have breakfast, and then...just sit there! Is it raining? No. Is it going to rain?

It's 11am and we are still sitting there! Now, I have to say, my family just loves being together, so we have no problem just sitting and talking and laughing for hours. However, we can do that at home, we came here to "do" stuff....but it was obvious: we had fallen apart.

It was 12 noon, still sitting there. In all of our planning we had not planned for one thing: RAIN! Or, up to now, the threat of rain. Not a drop had fallen from the sky but it was more overcast now. Of course, we're sitting there at this point saying "we could have been in the park all this time!" I'm sorry I have no pictures but I didn't take any in all this time. I remember looking at the kids just playing together and having fun and thinking it would be a good time to take a picture, but I guess I didn't.

The kids are much like their parents and grandparents: we have a good time just being together.
Well, after MUCH debate, (by nature, we're not the most decisive bunch) we decided to split up for the afternoon and meet back at WCC for dinner. The two families that have AP's decided to go to AK anyway, even for just a couple of hours. The rest decided to go to DTD via the boat from POR. It was around 1pm now...and still...not a drop of rain.

However, we had decided to instead then ALL do Epcot on Sunday, which was not part of the original plan, as the ones who would be heading home that day had not planned on doing a park that day.
Before leaving we sat in the lobby for a little bit and I finally started taking some pictures.
The aunts and uncles (parents and grandparents to some)
My cousins' DW's who I love like if they were my own cousins! The one in the center is Miren's Godmother - they adore each other!
Finally we were on our way to AK
