Listen everyone....if you can't make it down to the shore...maybe we could do a NYC rendevous in the Fall....what do you think???? We could see a show and catch up! :flower:

Sounds like fun! I wish the Bengals were playing in NY or Philly this year. I know Mark would be game for sure!

Keep me up on the idea and maybe we can work something out!

BUT, tell me guys, how in the world could you get THIS GROUP
to NOT talk for 2 hours during a show?!!!!!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Bob and I are always game for NY!

SO, do you want me to post the addresses 'publicly' on this cruise
meet thread or send private messages.....i would like to post them all together so people could make corrections if I didn't read the handwritings
correctly.

I'm thinking PM for the list, Lucy.......

or....

you could send to all of us via the emails we gave you??

I think an e-mail is good. We are going to be in your address book, right Lucy??? :rolleyes1

Hi Gang,

I just talked to Keith at Allseastravel.com and told him to expect to hear from some of you regarding the summer of 07. He will be booking this trip for me and he started a folder under my name to add you to a waiting list. Once an announcement is made he will book us the moment the dates are released at the initial price (which will be the lowest ever available). We'll have to decide as a group an approximate date to have him reserve. I told him to tentatively book July but I'm open to anything.... I also told him if there were two different itineraries to book them both and we'd decide which one later. He agreed that a 10-night itinerary was indeed possible! He cruised that route on another line recently and it was a 12-night itinerary. He said DCL is supposed to make some announcement on 20 August.

Our house guests left this afternoon. Owen has been throwing up all day...I think that encouraged the company to leave early! The three of us slept all afternoon. I probably could have slept until morning. I've got a bit of a headache. I gave up caffeine (coffee and Cokes) a few months ago but I drank ice tea on the ship and I think I'm having caffeine withdrawal again.

Wow! You are certainly on top of things! I am still trying to empty suitcases and do laundry!!

Is anyone in the EST or CST having a hard time with your sleeping patterns? I finally felt better today. Marshall and Mallory both slept in again today. Mallory actually got up at 7:30 to see Daddy off to work. When I went back into her room, she was asleep again!! VERY UNUSUAL! (but not complaining)!

sounds exciting!
keep up the good work
we are depending on you to keep us informed....
did he say what ports he went to?
We are ALMOST sure they will depart from Barcelona, Spain, but then
I can't imagine why they wouldn't tie Disneyland Paris into it somehow.
Remember, I told you Tyler got sick too? Today is the first day he is
up and about.
Today we spent time in the hospital, this time with Bob.....his leg was
bothering him since California, and on the cruise - alot of pain in the joints.
I was afraid of a blood clot, so was the doctor today....SO, off to the hospital for tests....it is NOT a blood clot, thank goodness (noone ever
said I was a doctor!)....now the family doctor must determine why he has
so much pain. His legs are swollen too. Needless to say I get to do the
laundry...well, GUESS WHAT, I've got 'laundry burnout', OK???!!!!!!!!
I'm done....the piles shall wait....DO YOU HEAR ME.....!!!!
AND, I'm still messed up with the time too.
I am NOT a happy camper that I must return to work tomorrow, I am not ready for it. Oh, well, at least I will then get to e-mail addresses to you guys!

Jenny- There's always a good margarita to be found here in NYC, especially at my house. I make a mean margarita, as well as Cosmo, Bloody Mary, must have missed my calling in life. Should have been a bartender. Anyway, I hear you about sleeping patterns. Especially after yesterday's road trip. I am so glad I took the day off today, the weather was overcast and rainy and I wound up catching a 3 hr nap this afternoon after getting most of the laundry done and food shopping, it felt good.

Lucy - I hope Bob is going to be okay, sounds like you have had your hands full since you got home. We will keep you in our prayers. Also, email is probably the way to go with the list.

Kathy - Definitely keep us informed about the Med trip, wow 12 days, wonder how much thats going to be. Will have to start saving now. Hopefully business will pick up. Anyway, early July is probably the best time for us, even the week of the 4th is good, Briana usually doesn't finish up with finals until the end of June, so anything before June 30th would be tough. We are going to try to DW in August of 2007 (because we already invited our cousins to do that trip with us, so don't want to break a promise) and we will maybe do that for 5 days instead of 7.

AC is back on, thank God Micco got to come home to a cool house today after first day back to work.

Have a good night all.

Debi

Jenny,

Amy slept until 10:00am this morning! She really needed it. She has been so cranky. Owen is still not feeling well tonight. I'll spare you the after dinner details...

Lucy,

We too hope Bob is feeling better soon.

Debi,

Early July 2007 works for us. Remember to factor in a week (or at least a few days) before the cruise in Barcelona or somewhere nearby to adjust to the time change.

I'm catching up on "Six Feet Under" on HBO. I missed the past 3 episodes while on vacation but they are waiting for me on TIVO tonight. It's my favorite show since "Sex and the City" ended.

So what do you guys think a Med cruise on DCL would cost? I guess there's not a chance our 10% booking bonus and $200 onboard credit could be transferred to a Med cruise. Sounds good to me but I have a feeling it'll be too rich for our blood.

Several of the kids in our group got sick. Ryan and Drew just have colds fortunately.

Wow, Lucy sorry to hear about Bob, that's so scary! Did the docs say it was from the traveling? I actually had minor surgery on my legs in June due to circulation issues and that is one of the symptoms that I worry about. Fortunately during our trip I started to feel normal again. I hope he feels better soon!

I felt like the ship was cleaner than ever due to all the hand wipes. My family got thru it with no ailments this year. I'm the one that usually gets sick.

Hey Lisa, I asked about transferring my ressies to 2007 and was told by Danielle that as long as it is a 7 day Caribbean cruise, you will receive the 10% discount and room credits............if you move it to 2007; we may get the room credit but probably not the 10%. According to Kathy, booking early saves you so much money that the 10% may not matter as much.

I had to drive Tracy down the shore due to car issues today. So I left half my wash undone and I will be dealing with it tomorrow while going to school to set up my classroom! Fun day coming up!! Jenny I know your room is already set up....when do you start?

Pics are at the photo place. I can't wait to pick them up tomorrow. I have started my trip report to relive our wonderful memories!! :goodvibes

Hey Kathy, thx so much for organizing the travel agent thing. You really know your stuff. I KNOW we are interested in that trip!! We had such a blast, we are definitely considering the June trip next year as well. Thx again. Sorry about Owen, at least he wasn't sick with that last week!! :guilty:

Ken is actually saying he wants to go to WDW in the next year on our DVC points. I'm psyched b/c usually I'm the one pushing for that!! :wizard:

Take care everyone....I really miss you guys....it was soooooooo much fun hanging with you all onboard!! :grouphug:

Lisa,

I don't have any idea what the trip will cost. Hopefully it won't be too expensive since we will incur much higher travel costs than the usual flights to FL or CA. It will definitely be a long trip for us from CA but we've been trying to get to Europe (Italy in particular) for the past 3 years. Something always comes up to prevent us from traveling...I was sick in 2002, Ted was deployed to Iraq in 2003, etc. I do know that the best price will be available on the first day the dates are released.

I'm thinking my mom will be living/retired in Greece by then (I'm half Greek and my mom has a house in Chios, Greece) so there's a slight possibility we could do the Med cruise...I'd have to work on DH on that one. I'll also need to find out my mom's plans.

So Kathy, what is allseas offering in terms of booking credits or are we going for a "group" rate? How do I get a hold of Keith?

Hi Lisa,

Their phone number is 1(800) 771-8690. I didn't ask Keith about a group rate since I don't know for sure who is planning to go or not. I don't even know if DCL offers one. As far as credit offered by Allseas goes, all I can say is that they offered $200 OBC for the West Coast Cruise. On my Western Caribbean cruise last summer they discounted that cruise. For my cruise next summer they just discounted the price by an additional $300 in addition to DCL's 10% discount and $200 OBC. They book more Disney Cruises than any other travel agency and they have a very good relationship with Disney...remember I was also upgraded on this cruise!

I think this Med. cruise sounds fun. I am not so sure I have convinced Mark yet. Maybe this is too postcruise?? Anyhow, I want to stay informed and maybe he'll "get the hint"!! Right now he is missing the Boardwalk, which I can relate too. We just love it there! Keep me in mind Kathy so just maybe I can convince him.

Other than Marshall's migraine the last night of the cruise, we are doing well. Mallory has a little cold, but I just think it is all the sleep changes and weather changes.

JoAnn I need to go to school and see how much new stuff they have dumped in my roon (new textbooks, workbooks, etc.). That is always another mess! I have to register John for MIDDLE SCHOOL today (that is killing me!). I will go ahead and register M & M as well. Marshall had a loop for 1st/2nd and his teacher has dropped back to first again. We are hoping Mallory gets her. SCHOOL OFFICIALLY STARTS NEXT TUESDAY! I have to report in on Monday. I can honestly say that I am not mentally ready, but as my old boss used to say......."get ready, they are coming whether you are ready or not"!! I will get my frame of mind about Thursday, then jump in head first!:teacher:

we ALMOST fell to the 2nd page!
made dinner for the first time tonight - it was not fun.
piles of wash still waiting to be done
work was not fun today.....i knew the first day back would be nasty.
bob still in alot of pain - a vacation would help.

get this - someone just called me today, who works for Disney, and
said he heard rumor Disney bought alot of land in Gettysburg (PA) for
a historical theme park. YEA, RIGHT. Why would PA want a historical
park when VA wouldn't approve it. Lucy would LOVE a Disney park
that close to home and she could invite all her new friends to visit and
give them dinner. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
My 'blue box macaroni and cheese is to die for' :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
MISS YOU GUYS. :grouphug:
Last week (I play this game alot!) at this time we
were having a pirate deck party. :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

First day back to work wasn't so bad, sales were good and a lot of my regulars came in to crop this afternoon. They missed me and it made the day go so fast. I think my body is starting to get adjusted back to the time. When we got home, Alex and I had real bad sore throats, we could not swallow. Wondering if that anything to do with the time change. Starting to feel a little better today though.

Bill - I have some pictures from that night, I will send them to you as soon as I get them downloaded to the computer (hopefully by the end of the week).

So life here in the big city is getting back to normal, football season is starting, so we are gearing up for that. Like Jenny loves her baseball, I love my football!!

We miss you guys, it really is tough getting back to reality...laundry, cooking, work....I wish I could live the magical Disney life 24/7.

Debi

Hey Jenny - next week - UGH! I went in today and did practically nothing. But I realized I'll be in a lot before my first day - August 23rd. I love going in in the summer to get ready but I wish we still had more flexibility than all the scheduled days where we sit around! Best wishes for your first week. You either must get out much earlier than us or have better winter and spring holidays....don't feel bad about MS....my two oldest are going to COLLEGE. :guilty:

I'm still not done the wash and my house is a mess, Lucy! :confused3

I have some wonderful pics, I only lost a few. Boy do I look fat in some of the pictures. Would you please go thru your pics and throw out the ones that I look bad in? I've done mine! :rotfl:

I have almost a roll of my dad's special night. I will make sure he gets them this weekend. I also have a few good ones of some of us so when Lucy gives us the addresses, I'll send them out. :)

Who misses Lynn?? :earseek:
