Is LUCY going to be mad when she sees JENNY at the front of that line to get on??? Just kidding! :rotfl:

Sorry ladies....it's going to LISA who's in line before everyone because we plan to be there very early ... tee hee hee....

for the information.
How in the world does a DISer in England find out these things before
us Americans?! I'm so glad you are finding out information for us, a
great big thank you. :grouphug:

NOW, Lynn, your next assignment is finding out how early the buses
will be running to the port on July 30th.....as you can see, I WILL win
this contest..... :cool1: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

The sun is finally shining in PA today - will be almost 60 degrees, I'm
excited - I'll be taking a very long walk at lunch today. Go ahead
Arizona and California, tell me it has been that warm for weeks in
your neighborhood. I'm jealous. :wave2:

Now girls don't get upset or anything but i'll be still working on UK time so I'll definitely be the first at the port!!!!
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

No seriously we weren't going to do the early rush this time we did that before and it was fun but it did mean lining up for an hour or so and since I don't see us getting back to CA anytime soon I want to make the most of all our time so we'll probably be leaving the mouse house whilst you are all fighting for the front of line! ::MickeyMo

We've booked the disney shuttle at 11am but will probably cancel and get a limo or something so we can do our own thing right up to embarkation. We've got the REAS package booked so that assures us at least one dinner at Palo and a massage. We'll be eagerly waiting for reports of the ease of boarding from the first few cruises.
I'm getting so excited now :bounce:

Ok, Lynn you're making me nervous....did you not read my posts about Cali traffic!!!! Please don't leave too late, my relatives almost missed the boat on a previous cruise due to travel delays!! :goodvibes

Oh but thx for the cruise updates, they sound good! :cool1:

Yes we did hit 60 today, what a wonderful feeling!!! :cloud9:

Ok, about floss boy (you know thong man!).....sure we can discuss him on the way home but I thought you were traveling Delta, Lucy!?

Happy Spring all!! :grouphug: :hourglass

We will be driving in the day before from Phoenix. Staying that night in Pacific Palisades with the kid's Aunt and cousins. So, we may be the first on board Saturday. Don't have to wait for the transfer ride from DL.

Looks like it will be a mad dash between Leslie and Lisa since we're both not taking the DCL bus....let's see which one of the "L"s will make it first................. ;)

"FLOSS BOY" :earseek: love it.... :rotfl2: Poor Albill, I won't be able to look at him without laughing after I meet him!!!!

Don't panic Jo Ann we'll be there before they untie the ropes, we don't intend to make it too last minute, but also don't have a need to be first!!!! The Limo companys I've spoken to have said allow an hour for the journey, do you think we need more? We thought we'd get a pick up around 12:00pm catch the last of the lunch servings and find our cabin before the lifeboat drill and sail away.

Lisa I've seen your posts asking for info about the evenings I wonder why they're playing this one so close to their chests, I really thought we'd know something by now, I feel sorry for the people sailing in May, at least we'll know from them. I don't work well with surprises, another planner here!

Everyone are any of you undecided about what to do in Cabo we're thinking of trying a ATV tour of the desert it is billed as a Family eco tour not a daredevil adventure, If there is a group of at least 4 ATVs then they pick up free from the port. We would need 2 would anyone fancy joining us ?

I know we have me, Lucy, you, Lisa, and Lynn, am I missing
a Leslie?
Lisa, I too feel the same way about (poor) Bill - I can only picture
'that thong' when I finally meet him :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

We haven't decided about any excursions - once we meet everyone
on this thread - we'll probably want to take all the tours with you. :grouphug:
My husband keeps reading this thread also, and says to me (and I
totally agree) - "this is the nicest group of people!"
Bill - if you are having trouble with your ears (ringing), it is because
we talk about you and how we get such a big kick out of you!

JoAnn - we are taking Delta - but what I was asking, are you leaving from
LAX? I've gotta see a doctor before we go to get rid of this "stress" of flying - I'm so scared. Haven't flown in years, and our 13 yr. old has NEVER flown. :sad2:

"gouodux" is Leslie...since I compiled the list, I seem to have everyone's names, professions, etc in my head. She used to live in CA but now lives in AZ, is a pyschologist and by coincidence, she and I went to UC Irvine (but alas, I'm older than her).

Anyway, I'm completely beside myself as to why DCL is so tight lipped about the special events. Someone commented on another thread DCL must know by now and if they don't then we're in trouble. The only reason I care is because I booked the REAS and I don't want to make my Palo ressies on a night when they're doing the special events. I know we still have 4 months, but I also suffer from a compulsive planning disorder :rotfl: and I must have all aspects of my vacation planned well in advance. :teeth:

Yes, we do have a very nice group of people on this thread. But, having said that I'M STILL GONNA BE THE FIRST ONE AT THE PORT...... :goodvibes

limo to pick us up at 7:00 AM on the day of sailing, Lisa!
I WILL be the first

April Fool's! - Lucy :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Have my husband calling this morning to see how early we can get
on the transfer bus.
WOW, a Lisa, Leslie, Lynn and Lucy - how confusing will that be.
My husband and I also discussed this fact last night - the fact
that Disney is releasing NO information on this cruise. There better
be good reason for this (surprises for 50th anniversary, etc.).

Good one Lucy-I was thinking...7AM what will they do at the port all that time? I don't even think it's open that early. Too funny...I actually forgot it was April Fool's today! :goodvibes

Hey Lynn, 12 noon departure should be fine. :Pinkbounc

Don't feel sorry for Bill, he deserves it...... I'll see him this weekend and ask him WHERE HAS HE BEEN??? :guilty:

I haven't made any transportation plans yet, we'll be at GC. Does anyone know if the cruise busses will leave from there, too? ::MickeyMo

My comments about boarding are.......the earlier the better. A few years ago we got on right after they opened up and we really had a great day. We made our ressies, ate lunch, and then unpacked (the cases were already there). Then we went swimming in the adult pool. It really felt like an extra day on the ship. I loved it! So I do recommend it. Once you are sailing the time flies by so quickly.

I don't know what I want to do with excursions. I've heard a lot about Cabo lately so I want to check around before we decide.

I'm a little concerned about the leaving time for the bus from the GC
My husband called and the time they are leaving from the GC is
12:15. I'm totally upset with this time - this is so late - when we leave
on the ship in PC, we are there the minute the doors open.
And, LISA, am I correct that it will take one hour to get to port?
I know it will probably cost a fortune but I'm actually thinking of looking
into a van service or shuttle instead so we can leave earlier.
We are not on the REAS package so getting there and making PALO
and SPA reservations is important to us, plus what in the world are we
gonna do at the hotel till that time.
When it comes time to get on THAT ship we don't want to wait around.

ANY ideas?

The distance from Anaheim to Long Beach isn't that great so it *should* only take about 30 minutes, BUT you don't know with traffic. Saturday's are usually light but if an accident gets in there or road construction or whatever, it could take longer. But typically it should only take 30 min. Having never taken a DCL cruise, I'm not familiar with how the DCL buses work so I don't know how efficient they are. The good news is, I'm sure on the 5/28 cruise there'll be some people who are coming from GC using DCL buses, so they can fill you in on how well it works.

I feel sorry for those first cruisers....they're going to be attacked with questions when they return from their cruise!!! :flower:

Hi folks.... we were "delited" with the presence of our Daughter today , also her hubby :sunny: and of course those GD"s ...that being Grandaughters of course... :grouphug:
She filled us in on how much fun their recent trips were :cheer2:

We might have some of the Grandaughters working here in Brig this summer  who ha...!! :rolleyes1

can anybody direct me to an address that shows the layout of Disneyland?

Our prayer's for the good Pope....!!

I almost forgot.. how did those Reds do....?? Raz'r backs ...??

looks like my picks are out the "Big show"

like we haven't had enough rain, now the people have to brace for flooding on the Delaware river,I mean give it up...!! let's move on :moped:

Hi Bill
Lynn here sounds like you had a great family day.
if you go onto the official disney site and then to the disneyland page on the top right of the page is a link which opens up an interactive map. First it is of the whole resort but if you click on Disneyland it opens up a new map. Sorry but I couldn't work out how to post a link for this :confused3
hopr it helps. I've been working really hard on excursions today and I think wwe're sorted
it's getting closer all the time!

hello Lynn... and thank you... that was exactly what I needed....!! :flower:
I never thought to go to the home page....
