Hey! July 30th, 2005 cruise to Mexico DISfriends!

sitting here eating my lunch and reading all your threads. (I wish I was eating these!)

First of all, I'm wondering how Jenny's mother is doing???

Secondly, I can't believe we will be seeing some of you within a week..... - Hey, Debs, never thought we'd take you up on this weekend, did 'ya? Just because everyone can't be there - don't think we aren't going to talk about you, especially when we share our pictures.

RCCL - I would definitely do it - we were also discussing taking a cruise on this line, sometime between Disney cruises. Even though we got a GREAT deal for next August on the Western, we will also be cancelling this Disney cruise, in hopes of putting our money into 2007. The Boardwalk Villas have been booked for next June for us, June 18-22 (also staying at that "other park", Universal, June 16 & 17.

Bob is home today decorating.....he does a very beautiful job. Me? I'll get my Christmas coffee mug out of storage, that's my kind of deocrating.

Tonight we thought we MIGHT start Christmas shopping....we are having a Christmas celebration on Dec. 11th with my family (Bob's family was at our house Thanksgiving night)....I'll cook up a big meal and we'll exchange presents with my family and maybe give our kids a few things.....Bob and my Christmas presents, this year, are a visit to "the World"....that saves us alot of time, not buying each other presents (because MY Christmas list is always very large! )

Thx Kathy for your understanding...........I did book thru All Seas and they put me on a waiting list to rebook 2007 in the summer when it opens. So right now, I am waiting to hear from them to rebook in 2007.

We're so close to our DIS reunion, Ken just asked tonight how long it has been.............time flies.........it's hard to believe it's been 4 months already.

We have reason today to celebrate, Alex got in to the Disney College Program. Pending character audition next Thursday, we will wait to see what department she will be in. If she does not get selected as a character (which she already is - LOL - I crack myself up) then she will have other positions to choose from. This is so exciting, but I want to cry, I will miss her. Now we have to cross all those bridges that you say you must cross when you come to them.

Jenny - I hope to hear good news from you tomorrow. Still praying here for your reason to celebrate.

2 more days, I can't wait, we will be popping the champagne to celebrate with Disney friends.

Lucy - Alex is working Friday night, but should be home for the w/e. She will entertain us on Friday when she gets off work. LOL. I told her we would be popping the champagne to celebrate before she got home, then probably open another bottle when she gets home. She has already gone online and accepted the offer, paid her $62 registration fee, and is set to arrive on January 9th. Right now her departure date is May 12th. If she extends the program, she could stay through August, but that is yet to be determined.

Now she just has to pass the audition!!!! Could she be one of these???? Mom will be cheering for her.

Can't wait to see you guys tomorrow. Hopefully we will hear good news from Jenny later today.

All Mom's biopsy is "inconclusive" and will need to be redone. It appears that the position of the "lesion" is quite difficult to manuver. I know they did a chest x-ray post biopsy to make sure they didn't puncture the lungs. The long and short is new biopsy Tuesday with possible the gall bladder out on Friday.

The good news! I just spoke with Delta and they were once again willing to change my ressies! I will be in NY by 4:40 tomorrow (just hope they don't delay me!!!). All they asked is that I don't all them again!!

My mother has really taken this like a trooper. Maybe there's a reason for all of this. She is "different". Almost like she has realized that she needed to reach out and reconect? She told me today about her conversations with God which is not something she has ever said. Now, mind you this is my best friend and I would know! Anyway I am ready personally for the madness to end!

Well girls! I will just have to start the party with Debi and you guys join in! We can celebrate Alex!!

I am so proud of you Alex !! Actually I knew you'd do it!!

Hey fellow DIS reunion friends...........we had a blast!! Thanks so much to Deb & Mic for hosting and taking us around Staten Island and NYC. We did a lot in a short time................So much fun seeing Lucy, Bob and Jenny and getting to know everyone better! The albums and Deb's scrap book were great and the memories from last summer seem like yesterday!

Our Christening is in an hour so we are checking on the girls at home and then heading out to Philly.

You guys are really special, thx again for everything!

Bob and Lucy have also returned from Staten Island......it was an OK time, just ok, you know, we had nothing to talk about, didn't laugh too much, didn't have anything to drink....

We just returned from a weekend trip that was SO AWESOME,
we had the PERFECT hosts who couldn't have done more for us, fed us,
had a FEW drinks , visited the City, by subway and ferry (that's another story for another day!), got to spend time again with Jenny and JoAnn and Ken (how are those horses doing, Ken?), it was the PERFECT weekend.....with little sleep, mind you. (Bob and I both took naps when we got home, we ARE getting old.). Micco and Deb have the most beautiful home, we were so glad we got to see the girls too AND
Deb's shop(ha!ha!, JoAnn, you HAD to leave early)
Friday night we looked at everyone's pictures - DISers, you can't imagine how beautiful Deb's book is, the scrapbooking she does is OUTSTANDING.
I hope one day more of you get to see her book (shall she bring it in
2007 ). The only surprise we had was the snow on the ground when we woke up on Sunday, I'm sure Debs and Micco arranged that too....
they were the perfect planners.More later.

Just dropped Jenny off at the airport and Briana off at school and wanted to let you guys know what an awesome weekend we had. Such a comfortable feeling with new friends, who seem more to be like old friends. I feel like I have known you guys for years. Micco and I had the best time, I hope you guys enjoyed it too. Bill and Alice, we missed you, maybe next time. Kathy, missed you too. Lynn and Keith, maybe you can come over the pond to NY next year. We would love to plan something in the summer too, we have a great backyard with hot tub and pool, plus now you know the water is only a stone's throw away (literally) and we would love to take you out on the jet skis.

Now it's time to get my head into Christmas. Jenny, Alex and I went to the mall for a little while yesterday and I did get started...hooray. But...oops...I forgot...have to go to Disney on Thursday....maybe I'll do some shopping in DD.

Snow coming in again tonight, perhaps up to 6". It will be nice to get a day in the warm sun this week.

Don't apologize........ Not a big deal. Next time I will get some! John and I are determined to go to Yankee Stadium this summer, so just maybe.

Long day.....Mom's biopsy will be in tomorrow afternoon. The saga continues...... Tune in tomorrow for another episode of "As the Wheels Turn" ( My maiden name is Wheeler!!) )

Had a tremendous time guys!!! I cannot begin to tell you how theraputic that was. Great friends/Great times!!! I hope our next meet can include Lynn, Keith, Kathy, and the "California folks" too!!!
