Hey! July 30th, 2005 cruise to Mexico DISfriends!

First, let's talk about ME, because it is ALL about ME!
7:55 and i'm ready for bed.
WHATA DAY!
Horrible ice/snow storm overnight - more ice than anything else.
The ice was so thick, we couldn't get it off the sidewalk or driveway.
It seemed to last forever.
FINALLY got our cars out around 1:00.
Prepared all day for the Christmas get together (really, it was just the four of us, two of my relatives and my mom was able to come )
Wrapped all day long, cooked, chipped ice, laundry.....
Like I said, we were able to bring my mom home for dinner, even though the weather was MISERABLE (high winds tonight and ice on wires)...she was happy.
Got home at 6:30 and started cooking all over again - Bob needed a crockpot lasagne for a party at work tomorrow.
We are NOW DONE.

JoAnn....lots of drinking going on, huh?
At least you are not here for this horrible weather.

Glad the storm missed you Jennster.

FINALLY going to the orthopedic surgeon tomorrow for my hand/s....hope he can give me some relief, the pain is AWFUL...ooopppps, about me again, sorry

I haven't left the house since Friday night!!! I really haven't done anything...tinkered! We got about 3" last night so the kids were thrilled to sled.

Hey all, we watched the Eagles beat Dallas at a place called "Quarterdeck" (Mark would like this place if you ever do get down to FL or SB, there's a couple of them around here.) Before that we helped Tara pack out some of her stuff, Jess and I are leaving today with some of it......

I wonder how our weather was, with all the ice and snow that you guys got? I checked out my website and no closing info was there. Sorry about your Christmas dinner, Lucy, but it's one step closer to WDW...

What day are you leaving for your Bowl game, Jenster?

We will be running around all next week, first LM tix in NYC, then Fergie tix in AC then back to Warwick, NY for our family polyanna party. Tara leaves for Germany on 1/1/08. Fortunately, I have no plans for the w/e before Christmas to finish getting ready, I'm so not ready right now! Ok, time for Starbucks!!!

So I had a great season in FF, only to lose to you Jenny in the end. My Jets lose AGAIN, and Brady probably has the worst game of his season - only 3 FF points - go figure - he was great all season, I think that's why my record was 11-2-1. Oh well, good going JENNY

We only got rain here yesterday, got some more shopping done, everything bought is wrapped, but just can't get into the spirit this year. This is always my favorite time of year, but I have just been in a real funk...

Thank you for all your b'day wishes, it was last Thursday, the 13th. Lousy rainy day here, thought we would get snow, but not.

Well have to get going and take Bleu to the vet for her rabies shot - now she will be able to be around other dogs, and we can start taking her out and training her outside. She is already housebroken, but I want to start the outside thing (just when the weather is getting frosty cold).

Is this FF over yet?
As you know I'm clueless with football with the exception that the EAGLES beat those DARN Cowboys yesterday - that is all that matters -TAKE THAT T.O.! (no guys, i didn't watch the game, I watch the news!)

Today Tyler had a two hour delay, which meant I could sleep in an extra hour too. BUT, my day went downhill from there. I had a doctor appt. with the hand specialist, initial appt., waited 45 minutes in the waiting room - that drives me nuts. My surgery is Feb. 12, but he did give me a shot in the right hand, so i have relief next week in Disney - I'll get a shot in my left hand on Friday. Too bad I don't get PAID sick days anymore, huh?
THEN, I get stuck in our driveway THREE times today, on the ice. Bryan's car is stuck indefinitely in the ice and he must go to work tomorrow. Guess who will probably need to give up her car (even though I DO work tomorrow, I'll need to go to work early so he can go to work) - WHO SPOILS THESE CHILDREN!, and they do NOT appreciate us....I'm done complaining....well, NOT done, just for this hour!

JoAnn - I tried something new at Starbucks....I'm not a BIG tea drinker, but this was awesome - chai latte tea...it was SO GOOD! Getting more and more Starbucks in our area, finally, but not good for a retired person's salary - although there are NONE in our town, nor a Dunkin Donuts, or any other fast food (this IS a college town, you know!)

So glad Bleu is house-trained - but what about MICCO!

JoAnn ~ We leave the 29th for Arizona. We are staying in Scottsdale, (3 nights) but the game is in Tempe on NYE. These are both suburbs of Phoenix. We fly on Jan. 1st to Las Vegas for three nights before coming home on the 4th. I go back to work on the 7th. We are starting to get really excited for the trip, but we still have to go to Ohio to Mark's parents this weekend and get through Christmas.

We think this might be our last year for "believers". I am not sure if this is good or bad! I sure hope Marshall figures it out soon or we may have to have his wife tell him! Mallory is already asking some pretty "insightful" questions. That's a girl for you!

Some believe early, some believe later............I never yet have admitted anything... That trip sounds so great!!! Arizona weather, a Bowl game and then LV to finish it up....... WTG!!

We made it back, Jess and I........Ken and Trayc have to finish up the packup before they return on Wednesday. I have a few funny stories about our return trip.............I zippered my ID and boarding pass in my vest before check in and I COULDN'T OPEN IT, the zipper stuck, so there Jess and I were pulling and pulling for literally 20min+, so ridiculous, of course noone had a pair of scissors to help us... ....finally we had to rip it with keys so get everything out.............next, I walked into a trash can with an empty suitcase on it (weird)........then, as we're going thru security we have to take off like everything and all these people were walking right in front of us (you know, pilots, TSA guys, rude 20 year old guys), it was getting annoying (and I just wanted to put everything back on).............lastly we go up to our gate and buy our Pizza Hut pizza (fancy!) and these people walk right in front of me while we're in line and I move alittle and this older women goes flying down on the ground (I accidentally tripped her).........it was so embarassing! Then, you know who, starts laughing (and I'm like "shuusssh") b/c I felt so bad and you can't be laughing after something like that so then we were like hiding in the terminal for about 2 hours+............... ...........how awful is that? So, who wants to travel with us to Tortola?

I can't stop laughing about your airport experience!....think if ALL of us would have been there with you....
definitely an arrest in the airport from giggling and rolling on the floor

I threatened 4th and 5th grade boys today - threatened to sit them with the girls tomorrow in the cafeteria!
1st and 2nd graders just tattle on each other! I had to play nurse at least 5 times today! Finally went to the gym teacher and questioned what the heck he was doing to them today! Another day there tomorrow, then on Thursday Middle School!

Jenny - i truly MISS the believing stage. At the elementary school today I had one smart #!$#!$ 5th grade boy telling others Santa was not real!
I was NOT kind to him. Then i had another little boy tell me his family has different beliefs, told him that was fine, but in his next breath tells me about his Christmas stocking last year!

munchkins lived, and so did I!
Some of them are SO DARN CUTE ...and others are so naughty .....I did learn the naughty one's names in two days - shocked them when I called them by name!

Tomorrow - middle school - I'm quite anxious - neither of my children had good experiences in middle school at Kutztown - it is revenge time (to the middle school teachers...should be fun)

Tomorrow is an optional teacher work day. If you don't work tomorrow, you must work January 4th. Everyone goes back the 7th. I am going in and getting it over with! The boss won't be there, so the secretary says she is taking attendance at 8 a.m. then she doesn't care what happens!! I will leave around lunch for Ohio...off to the MIL/FIL house.

Nice day today. Got some nice gifts too! We went to TGI Friday's tonight with a nice gift card!!!

We had a nice Christmas with the MIL/FIL last night. Today Mark is putting togther a TV stand for the big screen we bought the ILs. MIL is now pretty much homebound, so we thought this would be the perfect thing for her.

Leaving tonight for Cincinnati for the Browns/Bengals game tomorrow, then back home. Must be home for Santa!!!

I'm BEAT!
oh, yea, like I have something to complain about....poor Bob, 1-10 today and then 8 a.m-9p.m. tomorrow, and I'M COMPLAINING

IF only I didn't crazy about cleaning the house before I go away....
SO, the main living area looked, I SAID LOOKED good...
then Bryan comes home from work, then Tyler starts snacking in the family room, then tyler takes a soda to rec room and spills it - tomorrow I will need to clean carpet, IN ADDITION TO THE UPSTAIRS!

Bob packed our things this morning, except for Bryan....who is "too tired" to do anything, including going shopping for clothing and packing...it will be one of this trips again...he hasn't been there in over a year, since we were all together, and we're already dreading the time with him, but it IS Christmas and insisted he go along....

I'm still baking - finishing tomorrow - why baking when we are going away I want to take a HUGE plateful of cookies to the nursing home tomorrow for the nurses and aides.

Everyone else, the shopping finished?
