Sorry, I am a little behind the times here, as usual.

Alex just got back from WDW on Monday night, Briana left Monday morning and gets back tonight. They both said there's a lot of cool new stuff there. I forgot Jenny was going to be there, I should have given Briana her number, maybe they could have seen each other for a bit.

Yes, we are staying at GC, we arrive on August 14th and the cruise leaves on the 17th. I hope I get as good a room as we had last time, we were overlooking California Adventures. Joann You're worried your cruise will be too short, I'm hoping this isn't too long, I might have to throw someone overboard (jk) - but how bad can 15 days on the Magic be....not too bad I don't think. Since I haven't been up on reading, when are you guys going??? Lucy When are you leaving?

Lynn I really need your cabin number. Cheryl from the other board is trying to link all our dining together, so you are the only one she doesn't have and she needs to submit it to DCL asap. She emailed me yesterday and asked me if I could get it from you. Please email me or PM me with your plans - are you going to DL prior to the cruise? If so, we could meet up. We have dinner booked at Blue Bayou on Thursday night, we got the preferred seating for Fantasmic at 9 on Friday night, and we have something booked for the morning of the 16th, which I won't mention here because it's a surprise for the girls. I can't believe it is only 27 days away. We just got our pirate t-shirts the other day, they are so cool.

As you can see, I am sooooo looking forward to this vacation. I can't believe we booked it over a year and a half ago, now it is right here, and before we know it, it will be gone. I wish all of you were coming with us....but we will be very happy to see Lynn and Keith. Keith Make sure you pack the frog shirt!

Just winding down with the store, I will be closing the end of the month. I still have a lot of inventory left, so whatever I have left I am going to try to sell in the fall on the weekends at a new flea market on SI that is opening this weekend. Lots of advertising and only $30 for a table.

Last night I spoke to Mary Poppins on the phone - I'M NOT JOKING!
I swore I was talking with Lynn....this is NOT a joke!
Story: Jenny called me while she was walking thru EPCOT, she was 'in England' and waiting for Mallory to get Mary Poppin's autograph, then Jenny tells me to hold on, and guess who is on the phone.....Bob is sitting with me and I'm trying to tell him I'm talking with Mary Poppins, of course he is NOT believing me (why does this man doubt me! )....'Mary' is telling me she never spoke on an uncorded phone (of course I didn't get it!) - how cool was that!

Jenny has landed - I watched her plane land thru the internet! How sad is this for her.....

I hope we get a reply TODAY

I have PMed you, I have replied to her e mails about dining I don't know why she hasn't got them. I only got our cabin number last night when I got in from work.


All our performances are over, just 3 days next week of kids and 1 teacher day and I can relax!!!!
I don't know if you see much of our news but you know I was worried about the school's test results, it seems that the company who accepted the marking contract didn't realise what they were bidding for it is a complte shambles many schools have no results at all and those that do are contesting the results, papers have gone missing and some have ended up in the US!!!! It would appear that the company ( a US concern ) thought that our tests were like your SATs and could be marked with an optical Mark reader. But in our tests the children have to give written answers in sentances and a marker has to use a mark scheme to mark, our writing test involved writing a biography and a short piece on memories and this all has to be read and marked by trained markers. They hadn't trained enough people and ended up using unqualified teenagers to mark the papers!!!! We still don't know what is going to happen to the results we have lost all confidence in the system and are pushing for the government to not publish schools results this year. What a mess! Anyway I have been busy checking all our papers to see which need to be remarked sorry I have been awol.

We're home. Mark literally took his suitcase out of my car, put it in his car, and drove to Cincinnati! Originally the kids and I were going to go too, but we kind of bagged it. Personally, I just wanted to be home. The last day was rough as everyone was tired and getting that prehome grouchy thing going, but we survived.

Restaurant report:
Luau - food was o.k. ~ you definitely still pay for the entertainment!
Cali Grill was spectacular as always! Unfortunately Mark had gone to extreme measures to plan it during the fireworks and they didn't go that night. It stormed pretty good. I felt bad for him!
ESPN - Marshall took a shine to the wings so he and Mark went a lot as did John. Food is o.k. Service was TERRIBLE....
Spoodles - Mark and I "slipped" away and just did appetizers. Excellent food, but if you are not used to the spices, look out! My stomach was not happy with me!
The Wave went for drinks before Cali Grill. I kept smelling fish. The decor is so cool and the bartenders were fun.
Yakatori House Went twice.........a new favorite thanks to Bob and Lucy!
Rose and Crown Did the fast food and it was good and greasy!
Yak and Yetk I wasn't really impressed, but the cream cheese dessert things were good
50s Prime Time Cafe I still LOVE the pot roast. John and Mark raved about their fried chicken. We had a young server who was fun and very sarcastic! M&M were "afraid" of her!
Big River Brewery very average. Not really worth the price of the food.

The weather was weird. It was warmer and higher humidity in Indiana which we were thankful for, but the rain lingered at night. We did a lot of Extra Magic nights so that Mark particularly would be more comfortable. We did Illuminations twice and Fantasmic once. Never saw Spectromagic or Wishes because of the crazy weather. I saw the 3:00 MK parade but not the new DHS one.

The funny thing about this trip was how independent the kids are getting. But, I noticed that I gain more weight than ever before! I think it was because I wasn't burning up the parks as much following the kids around, so Mark and I would go off for a snack or a drink more often!

Watching Lucy talk to Mary Poppins on the phone was a definite trip highlight! MP kept referring to her as "Miss Lucy"!! She also made note of the phone without a cord! The people behind us were looking at us pretty strange!
I came unglued on some "visitors" at BB who insisted on laying down on OUR lounge chairs on top of MY KIDS clothing! We had the hut to ourselves and went for coffee. Then we came back to find ourselves surrounded by them and our hut marked with those "dreaded flags"! The positive is that they aren't usually in the parks at night and definitely not in the better restaurants. Mallory tackled Summitt Plummett for the first time. The boys did it too but had before!

We visited the High Octane bar at DHS and our bartender is now gone. But, the margarita is still the best on property! I did have an Italian one for JoAnn too! M&M partook of the Mickey Bar in Lucy's honor as well.

I didn't ride a singe ride the whole trip.........probably could have but still haven't been cleared by the doctor. I just enjoyed the parks and shops!

JoAnn - I talked with Jack today and he is all worried about what you are going to do after the cruise. He thought you might want to change your flight so you might want to touch base with him. Lucy - he brought us pictures of his daughter who recently passed away. So sad...... He is such a sweetheart!

Glad to hear that Lynn is winding down...and she and Debi are getting close to their big PC Cruise!! I am sorry I couldn't be in on the Bill and Alice surprise, but hope you guys had a blast!

no hotter than it is HERE! Jenny said there was alot of rain, storms appeared late afternoon and rain continued......suggested late night evenings, who, ME? Miss "i'm in bed by 10:00" - i don't think so

Guess who is excited about seeing you, Ms. Joann: Tyler! (of course bob and lucy too) - he keeps asking what day we are seeing you - kindof weird, doesn't mention your gorgeous girls, it is YOU he asks about

Got up early (having problems sleeping, guess i'm taking over for Jenny while she is away, normally don't have that problem!), now waiting for the "Hannah Montana" concert in Bryant Park on Good Morning America.

Sry, Jen, come, come................we are leaving on Thurs. but we'll be staying at the airport Wed. night...........due to the 7am departure, we wish you would be there too..........but................if you decide to visit the beach before you go back to school, we're sure you'll have a blast!!! We will be minus one DD, Tara will stay home (or use our shorehouse.........with her pals............ ).......................this will be the LAST trip with the ladies before the youngest DD goes to college (Ken and I will be alone for the rest of our lives..........yikes! )I'm planning on working out more and getting really skinny.................

waiting at the airport - our trip has FINALLY begun - i could sit here all day....hopefully I won't need to!
Our flight is scheduled for 1:56 PM, AirTran....we were going to catch an earlier flight but I wanted to KNOW where my luggage was (goodness, lose ALL that makeup ) Everytime we've had to fly thru Atlanta, we never knew where our luggage was - luckily we hae a direct flight today.....

Tonight our plans are walking over to parks, getting our weekly tickets (whatta deal - $79 for one week!), relaxing, dinner somewhere - we did promise Tyler he would see the Batman movie sometime - it would be easier to see it at CityWalk than Downtown Disney (it is so easy to get there when you stay at Saratoga, but not anywhere else)...I'm sure, since we have free internet service, i'll be checking in daily!

Sorry I was MIA yesterday. Ken and I drove to NYC yesterday for Tara's Bday. We brought a bike up which we had down the shore. Then we saw Young Frankenstein (she got the tix on TKTS). Then Jer hosted an outdoor party at a local French cafe and we met some of her friends. Last, we drove over to her apartment in Queens. Full day!

Now we have to clean the WHOLE house, pack and get organized! We have three days left.

Jenny, we are all anxiously awaiting your full trip report on the blog!!!

Yes, Lucy, we expect daily memos........what did you do last night? How was the flight? You have to tell me all the not-to-missed attractions at USF!

Ok, so in order to avoid cleaning, I reread, Jenny's abridged trip report on this thread. I saw the comment about Jack so I just called him. I told him I needed to change my plans on the last day and go to BC instead. He told me he already knew and that SOMEONE indicated that we were going to get sloshed all day there. I TOLD HIM NOT TO BELIEVE ANYTHING THAT WOMAN SAYS! Anyway, I was just laughing my head off! Thx again for the driver tip!
