Hey! July 30,2005 Cruise to Mexico Reunion Thread

I cleaned our basement today.....I took the equivalent of 5 garbage bags out of here! It doesn't look like the same place. John was fussing before he left because it was trashed down there :rolleyes1 (he is a clean freak) but it was his sibs mess. Marshall can't be around when I purge or he has a fit, ;) but Mallory was awesome help.:yay: It looks awesome!

Tomorrow........Mallory's room.........:scared1:

I HAVE to clean the bathrooms today! :rolleyes1

ok we just got our statuatory tests back my 11 year olds have got the best science and reading results the school has ever had. (89 and 84 % respectively) Anything above 70 is ok and above 80 is good.
The maths results aren't wonderful but we weren't expecting much as this is not a particularly numerate group (67%) but we thought they can write. However they've got the worst scores we've ever had in the writing tests. 44%!!!!!
I now have to explain this to governors and parents. the teachers are shocked and upset too. I think I'm going to ask for the papers to be remarked as these results seem really bizarre.
Holidays please roll on!

That is exactly why I hate testing Lynn!! Your job is placed in the hands of these 11 year olds and it could have nothing to do with what you have done. It's like coffee......if you have 10 pounds of coffee you aren't going to get it all in a 5 pound bag:rolleyes1 :teacher: Hang in there girl!

Speaking of camping.....Mark and I drove out to the lake last night for Boy Scout parent night....OMG! He looked so filthy dirty, but happy!:scared1: He was so glad to see us:hug: , yet when it was time to leave he was like, "See ya"! and darted off!:confused3 I don't know if to be happy or hurt!:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl: We stopped off at Cheesburger in Paradise for a margarita and sliders! Hang in there with the testing stuff, I was in my Master's program about 15 years ago, we had all as educators agreed that testing should be measured by many avenues and THEN politicians decided that testing should be standardized.............so dumb...............anyway:hug: ................

Listen no hard feelings about tomorrow either..............:rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

OMG, OMG, OMG............did anyone notice my "parents" tag...........'THE RENTS'..............so funny!!!!:goodvibes

of course they are 'the rents'!!!!

sorry i haven't chatted very much - once again, I'm working the festival and Tyler is sitting home (the attendance is not good this year and he was told to not come to work - he is upset - it is ME who should be upset - he already spent HIS paycheck - that he won't see - with MY money!:( :furious:

This happened last year too - the old lady (that is ME:laughing: ) worked every day and the young kid did not! Gotta find him a better job next year!
(only problem finding him a full-time job is we always need two weeks off for Disney - like that is a bad thing!:lmao: )

The weather is going to kill us again today (the attendance)...this is not a good year for this festival...hopefully things will be better next year:flower3:

Gotta get ready for work:grouphug:
