Hey! July 30,2005 Cruise to Mexico Reunion Thread

Congrats to Brianna...thank goodness you are finished with those darn NY rules!::yes::

In a hurry this morning - 8:15 and I must get ready for work....Tyler already at the Folk Festival, he had to be there by 7:45.....
more later....it is going to be one HOT AND HUMID day!:scared1:

Ok, we need updates..........how was the yard sale:confused3 ............how was the folk festival?:confused3

We had a nice day at the beach with Jess & Jack back from Senior Week and my bro Tom and his wife Beth and their three nephews hung out and played at the beach today!!:thumbsup2

I made about $160 on the yard sale! :woohoo: The kids combined made about $50 with Mallory taking the largest in at $27! :cool1: The princess/girly stuff is hot!:hippie: After deciding that I didn't have enough to justify sitting out there another day (I got WIPED OUT in the first two hours!) I decided to box up the kids' clothes that were left and take them to "Once Upon a Child". That is a 2nd hand clothing chain for kids. There I netted ANOTHER $55!!! The remaining clothes got donated, so NOTHING came back into the house!:rolleyes1 This money will all be donated to WDW in about a week!:rotfl2: :wizard:

Yesterday I attended a wedding reception for a colleague who had a private ceremony earlier in the day. They are my age and it is the first marriage for both! The bride is so much fun at work! A friend of mine (and a WILD ONE!) rode with me. While I was so happy for Karen, it was the lamest party ever! I got stuck sitting with some colleagues that had their wives. These poor women just don't want to have fun, nor let their poor spouses have any. My friend, Amy, couldn't believe how stuffy they are! I said to her, now you know what my world is like daily! Anyway, as soon as the cake was cut and the first dance was over..........WE LEFT!:rotfl:

Got to go and pack Marshall for scout camp..........he leaves in 1 1/2 hours!:dance3:

Sounds good, Jenny! I haven't done a yard sale in a while but it's probably time to do another............

The wedding description is similar to my workforce as well. At least the bride and groom were happy!

Guess what? The Rents are considering our July 18, 2009 Tortola cruise....more details to follow as they unfold............:dance3:

would that be great or what....
the dis reunion again....:cool1:

I've been chatting with the new Sister often... In fact I questioned the Son's for a opinion of their new Aunt,Joann being the beautiful person she is ,has chatted with her and made her feel like one of the family:love:
I was wondering if she would go for the "thong" bit:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Jenny sounds like a great party ...GaG...::woohoo: nothing like a bummer wedding party to kick a marriage off....especially when no booze is involved:headache: Why do people do that....? no booze:scared1:

I didn't read that there was no booze at the wedding....did she say that?

Anyway, I hope Lu is okay, she hasn't reported in since the Folk Festival started........read the old posts, Lu........Pops is coming on the cruise with us!!And so is Jenny!:goodvibes :thumbsup2 :worship: :cloud9:  :wizard: :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1   :woohoo:

early, 7:30 AM
very HOT and HUMID at this Folk Festival....hot-hot-hot
BUT, I know this surprises SOME(?) of you:scared1: , I'm enjoying talking to everyone:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I can handle 10-4.
I don't work again until the fourth of july, but I have a feeling I'll be going in every day.....my employer wants to pay me with her beautiful jewelry for the days I'm not officially working:banana:
The vendors are NOT having a good year, yet. The crowds are there, but I believe they are not spending additional money, except for food (and there is ALOT of food!). Tyler has been working long hours, has Wed. & Thurs. off. Poor 16 yr. old is SO TIRED when he gets home. (he is making smoothies and cutting up fruit).
Last night we had to go to a graduation party until late at night (late being 11:00 at night for Lucy)....gotta get moving this morning with alot of errands:cheer2:

NOW, about everyone else.:grouphug:
PLEASE, PLEASE make that journey on the Tortola cruise, Bill:worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: - how can you even question not coming, when I'll be there:hug:

Jenny - so glad the yard sale made you rich, girl:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
I'm joking, anyone who can make money on a yard sale is a hero to me....
I always made about 50 cents!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Joannster: give us an update on Tracy's return......:dance3: :dance3:
Why don't we BOTH have a yard sale and earn Jenny's fare for the cruise....we have room in our cabin for her....she can have the bottom bunk:worship: :worship:

Unless we hit the lottery, I don't think Tortola is in the cards for me. I couldn't bear the thought of not taking J,M&M, but can't pay to take them. We did do cash/points combination in past cruises, but we have to have two cabins which means that they charge us for four adults. Two cat 10-12s are still cheaper than a cabin for 5.:sad1: But, I will live vicariously through you all!

Mark and Mallory had a fabulous time in Cleveland and are home now. She is now asleep in our room in my big chair. She is milking this only child thing.:rolleyes1

John has called four times from USO. :flower3: He is having a great time despite the rain every night slowing him down.

Marshall is off to scout camp. When I dropped him off he kissed me and jumped into the leader's car without a hitch. They left........I cried!:sad1:

Ok, Jenny, I hear you. When I travel with 5, I do one Cat. 6 w/balcony and then immediately across the hall Cat. 11. I'm using points this summer but Tara's not coming:guilty: so I only needed one room. I only had to pay 1600 which was amazing for us! Of course it was only a 4day Wonder.

Of course we want you whole family to come! The Rents are looking into it now, I'll confirm if they book!

TG Lucy is back! We were worried, it's been so hot! What's everyone doing for the 4th? Lynn?:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Tracy is departing on Sunday, July 6th from Rome with a stopover to London arriving at about 7:30pm. I'll forward her exact flight via email, as I know you are worried.......:surfweb: I am anxious for her to be home, too!:thumbsup2 I'm not sure if Tara will be home to see her as she must begin her internship in NYC the following morning. We'll see how this goes!

I THINK I'm working (at festival).....invited to two picnics...Bob has the holiday off:banana:
reason I say I think?!:confused3 Attendance is bad, especially today - Tyler was sent home from work today after 30 minutes....noone is there today.....
he was truly upset - he is seeing less and less dollar signs (his pay check)
They don't want him back till Friday (the 4th)....I truly understand, this is his first year with this employer and seniority counts....
oh, a funny, I just bought some fruit, he carried into the house and asked me 'how could you do this to me, buy fruit' - he has to cut fruit for serving for his job....would he cut it up for me? NOT!:lmao: :lmao: (and the kid doesn't like one piece of ANY fruit!):rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

July 3rd & 4th = Reds games
July 5th Mal and I return home to pick up our favorite Boy Scout!:rotfl2:
July 6th-7th pack - John returns home from USO on the 6th too!:yay:
July 8th - WDW!!!!!!!!!!
