Hey! July 30,2005 Cruise to Mexico Reunion Thread

This is where I am now: :laundy:

This is where we were: popcorn::

Then I'm going here: :car:

Bob, Tyler and I went to the movies - the 'boys' saw Indiana Jones, I saw Made of Honor (definite chik-flik)...I LOVE Patrick Dempsey

All of us got up after 9:00 this morning - we were exhausted - came home around 11:30 last night, till we unloaded, it was near midnight. Alot of the kids had to march in the Memorial Day parade today, I felt sorry for them, it is a very early parade.

Jenny - I forgot to mention - our beautiful hotel was next to a Steak 'n Shake...remember how you told me many times that they were so good....
WELL, Bob and I knew we HAD to try one, even if we had to sneak out. Turns out we didn't need to sneak - I spoke to our music director when we left the amusement park Saturday night at 10:00, and since the food was unaffordable for the kids, I suggested we walk the kids over there. WELL, the bus stopped there, took the rest back to the hotel who were too tired and went back to pick up the gang at Steak and Shake - they loved it. Anything tasted better than the amusement park food. Bob called me from there (I returned to hotel with kids) and asked me what i wanted....I got a fried chicken salad since it was so late at night. Turns out, till the whole group got back from the restaurant, I was almost asleep and took one bite of chicken and Bob ate the rest. One of the girls got very sick at the restaurant (from the horrible roller coasters) and I walked over to pick her up - next day? she was back on those crazy roller coasters. I never got to try a milkshake, but believe me, when we go 'west' next time, I'm going to have one.:woohoo:

YES, most definitely, our next trip to Ohio will be so much better:hug:
Our next trip to Ohio will be in THREE WEEKS:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I'm planning to see Jess play soccer on Tuesday night - must find out more info from Joanne when she gets back to the USA.:yay:

Tonight I finally got my Mother's Day gift............

It's been so hectic with Mark's surgery then mine. So, tonight Mark came in and gave me tickets to see JERSEY BOYS!!:cool1:

Four of us are going June 6th.:thumbsup2

I wish I could go and see Jess play soccer too!! I have to admit that Lucy probably knows more about soccer than me! I know NOTHING about it!:confused3 Oh, I know you kick the ball (no hands allowed) into a net....:hyper:

Steak n Shake sounds so good right now! I love their milkshakes and chili! I love milkshakes in general! Mark sneaked me a vanilla Frosty into the hospital the other night!:stir:

I took super long nap today! That is so unusual for me:sick:

Take it easy, Jenny...............I know it's hard, but you'll be back before you know it! Word of caution, my SIL had a similar procedure/operation last Fall and it was worth it, of course, but she did say it took her awhile to get her energy back where it usually is...........so be careful!!!

Now, on a positive note...........OMGOMGOMGOMG, you're seeing Jersey Boys!!! Is that in Chicago? Ken and I LOVED it when we saw it on my Bday weekend.......let me know what you think..........totally my favorite show this year!!!

Ok, we're back..........we arrived right on time at 10:30pm, home at about 1:30pm.........my time is all mixed up, regular school day tomorrow and Jess's game in Allentown tomorrow night..........I'll send you directions, Lu......so glad to see you guys!!!

I know it was crazy to go to London the way we did it but imagine about $400 in airfare instead of $800-$900 just a few weeks later.....an incredible savings!

The funny part was that we heard very few British accents but many from around the world (like NYC but not as crowded)..........apparently during a bank holiday weekend, Brits don't tend to go to the city...

I propose a DISmeet in London, I think we would all LOVE it! Lynn told me the profootball teams are returning in the fall and she's trying to get tix (or she got them)!

Lynn & Keith were excellent tour guides and we saw quite a bit from the "insiders" perspective. Thx guys!!:wave2: BTW, Keith seemed in good form despite his operation!

:)

I am worried about you guys! You are probably SOOO jet lagged. And, now Jess has a tournament game???:scared1:

GOOD LUCK JESS!!:yay:

This "resting" thing just isn't my bag! I am sick of being cooped up in the house and the TV STINKS!!!:badpc:

So, LuLu.......how's the bus lag for you???:lmao:

I just slept for one hour, during my soap opera - I've diagnosed myself with a sinus infection in addition to allergies.
I have so much work to do and I can't believe I've been sleeping.

I hated when I was 'laid up' - I am NOT one to rest either (for more than one or two hours)...it is just NOT ME!

It is beginning to look like a thunderstorm outside - really curious if Jess' team is playing!:scared1:

Working tomorrow as hallway monitor....i just wish i could find the right meds to make me feel better.

sleep is good...sounds like you need it with the sinuses! I got more meds around here that I care to think about!:worried:

M&M will be home soon. Mark took them to the sitter today as they were just awful yesterday!:furious: They were taking advantage of Mommy and Nanny to the hilt!:moped:

Anxious to hear about Jess' WIN!!!

we are currently having a horrible thunderstorm - wonder if the lawalls are in Allentown? I hope not:scared1:

And you would know if there was a thunderstorm within a week of PA!!:rotfl2:

Hopefully everyone is safe and sound and CRN (right?) is winning big!!

Are you on pain meds again? I didn't understand anything you said (well, to tell you the truth, I'm on sinus meds, maybe it is me!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: )

Talked with the Joannster during the storm, they started the game, but believe it might have been cancelled...Joann?

My point is, if there is a thunderstorm, LUCY would know about it!:rotfl2: Have you considered a job in meterology????

CRN=Council Rock North........isn't that Jess' school???:thumbsup2

Need I explain anything else??? and I AM on pain killers thank you very much! I have a few stitches in me you know!:rolleyes1

Ok, Jess won!!! The game resumed after a lightning strike..........2-1 victory.....next game Friday night, I'm not sure where...........:thumbsup2

Yes, we were tired, I'm such a good mother making my daughter jet-lagged before a state playoff game..........however, my thinking was, if I don't schedule the London trip, wouldn't that just jinx her into losing?:confused3 so I went for it making sure to be back for the game tonight if we were in it, the bad part was she couldn't be late for school today or she wouldn't have been able to play............::yes::

WAY TO GO JESS AND TEAM!:cool1:  :woohoo: :yay: :dance3:

Ms. Jenny, SOME OF US are still in school:sad:
yep, today was hallway monitor, one of my favorite jobs - i get to talk all day long...today was a little more difficult, it was the last day for seniors, they were WILD!:scared1:

Tyler is sleeping (it is 4:15) - he still doesn't feel well, my nose is as red as Rudolph, from blowing my nose all day.

YES, congrats to Jess - I really thought that game would be cancelled...see, if I would have been there, they would have LOST!:rolleyes1

Hey Joannster: at what point do YOU get tired?

Can't you guys see Lucy going toe to toe with some football player in the hall asking him for his hall pass???:lmao:

Get well wishes to Tyler and Lucy too!!

Hey Joannster: at what point do YOU get tired?
I am worried about you guys! You have to be totally wiped out!:faint:

Well I am back--never sure my posts are going to make it........:rolleyes1 Glad JoAnn, Jess & Ken are back home and that they had a great London visit. Jenny I know it is boring to sit still--but sitting still, you must!! :worship: That all has to heal and it will not if you move around too quickly.. Lucy--for someone who is retired, you are always doing something:moped:

Bill and I are enjoying this lovely weather, planting flowers:cloud9: and just in general enjoying life. You will all get there one day and I hope retirement is as good as ours:banana: Bill showed me how to put the faces in my post :lovestruc

Welcome Back Alice:love:  :yay: :love1: :love2:

Retirement is great, Alice - just got a call for a sub and I said "NO!" (although if it was a secretarial position I would do it).:woohoo: :cool1:
Those phone calls for subs will soon be over (as of next Thursday)!

Thankful, too, Jenny is moving around, and JoAnn and family are in the USA!:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

How's Lynn and Keith?:chat: :jumping1:
