Hey! July 30,2005 Cruise to Mexico Reunion Thread

sorry but I've had some nasty headaches at night and didn't want to be on the computer - i apologize, gang. Hope they (headaches) are done.

Today we had a family wedding that noone wanted to attend - Bob's niece - long story but she has never been a nice person, and her new husband is even nastier - didn't spend one minute with his bride - i hate that. He stayed outside with his friends, smoking his cigar. She stayed inside, dancing....this is not a great beginning. It made us very angry, so we left early.

The prom dress - i had a problem with it! TOO low cut - I'm worried - why didn't i get to go along and help choose......she is a gorgeous girl and the dress was very flattering (I can't believe her father didn't go along to the prom)!

Ok, about the dress........she was having drooping issues which weren't apparent at the store. Later, I put her straps on b/c I was worried too! It looked classier than in that photo. Sorry about the headaches and the wedding. I can relate today!

It's awful when you can tell the chemistry is bad at the actual wedding.

Had Texas Roadhouse for dinner......excellent meal. Mallory got an MP3 player and a new gymnastics leotard, shorts and jacket. She had quite a time! I am off to bed!

In regards to the Iris's, stop by sometime Joann and I'll dig out some of the roots/crones and you'll have a good start collecting Iris... they don't appear to difficult to plant/grow...but do need to be fertilized...this sandy soil has no food value for plants, but does provide good "till" or drainage...in fact I'll provide the plants to anyone....!!

Yes Jenny, Daylilly's are my other favorite...We have the tiger lilly, found on every roadside in America, which I'm gradually depleting....and beyond that We are almost all yellow variations...wild and domestic....Man I love those summer months...!!

hey everyone it's ridiculously early here and I've been up for an hour , just got all my ressies for the EB cruise, I'm psyhed, Debi and Mico are showing as linked so I'm guessing they are still coming and we will see them at dinner, has anyone got an e mail addy for Debi I can't find it maybe you could PM me.

I am up early as well......can't sleep. I have been having some really STRANGE dreams for the last two or three nights!

Our weather for Memorial Day weekend looks awesome. This area is geared up for the big Indianapolis 500 auto race. That was my dad's favorite thing to do when he was alive. He saw something like 45+ races and missed only two in that time period. This past weekend was lovely! It was a little cool, but just perfect for working in the yard and clearning my patios.

Bill I wish you were closer. I have some unusual daylillies that I bought at a farm in South Carolina. I have peach with lacy edges, white with a red throat, some minitures, and the traditional ones. I have a couple of others, but can't remember. I'll try to take pix for you when they bloom. I like daylillies and iris because you can "throw them in the ground" and they bloom. I pulled some daylilies last year because they were taking over and they are now growing in the woods!

SO, i'm signing off for the night.
going to a school board meeting, we have a horrible school board right now and one of the teachers and I are going to see what it is all about.
Worked today, last minute, in elementary office.

Working Thursday at middle school office and Friday at elementary office again. Then at 3:00 on Friday we leave with show choir for Sandusky, OH to some amusement park for competition. 7-1/2 hour bus ride!!!
Come home late Sunday night, very late, and then Monday Bob and Tyler want to see some movie that is coming out this weekend.
OK, there goes our weekend already.

Jenny, your selection of day lillys sounds terrific,I'm waiting for them to bloom ,'cause I forget what's growing out here...!! We have found that we must use topsoil,manures for anything to grow proper,this sand don't do it...Also gallons of Miracle grow...!!

I'M BACK....Has anyone really missed me though? I know it has been soooooo long, I lost you all for awhile there and I have not been on the boards at all in months. I know I will never get a chance to read back all these posts, but just got to read a few. So I hope all is well with all of you.

So now Alex is 21 and Briana just turned 18 on Friday. We took Alex out in a limo to the city on Saturday night for her birthday, we wanted to wait till Briana was 18 so she could get in to the clubs. We had a lot of fun. Yesterday we had a surprise 80th birthday for my MIL, it went very well and she was surprised, I think my FIL was more surprised (because we never told him about it either).

Briana had her last day of HS last week, and this week is finals. Her prom is May 29th, and her dress is absolutely gorgeous. She will be graduating May 31st. Both girls are doing a trip to WDW in July. Alex is going with her boyfriend July 7-14th, and Briana will be there with one of her friends July 14th - 18th. As of now, they are both staying at SS.

I am still running the store, but things have been very slow and depressing there, and I have been working p/t for a Family Law attorney. Very interesting and very busy. I am there 3 days a week, and I really like it.

Lucy What happened, you guys didn't go on the cruise? I have been thinking about you.

Lynn We are definitely onboard - airline is booked, cruise is paid for and in my mind I am already there. Only thing, I forgot to go online this morning to book my excursions, and now I am struggling. So I am not psyched like you right now. There are no Palo ressies left at all. So far I only have the ATV in Aruba, can't get a dolphin swim, so may go for a dolphin encounter. Was having a little trouble getting back into the site before, so I am going to try again after I finish this post - and try to get some things booked. What excursions did you book?

I promise I will be more faithful to the board, so you guys don't think we dropped off the face of the earth...

Ok, Tracy's at the airport heading to Rome via London for a few days......she's really "bummed" b/c she's not going to be in our "tea with Lynn" plans........she's brought a few girls to visit Tara as well.

4 days..............I'm SOL too! Try 4 weeks!!! 18.5 school days........

Actually playing a retired person this morning, for awhile, that is
NEW YORK - it is about time that girl comes 'home' - tell me the place she is interning - i worked with alot of design places in NYC when I had my REAL job.....what are the dates she will be there? when are we going?

WB Debs - ah, about the canal trip - long story about leaving a child that long, it is over, it is DONE, yes, we are sad this week, especially the day they went thru canal but we are going on The Magic next year, we'll survive.

Tyler had a panic attack tonight, which made ME have a panic attack - his brace broke off at the end, was cutting him and his mouth was bleeding, but, no fear, he used a wire-cutter and cut off the sharp edge - that's my boy

This is "trip and clip" week! JoAnn gets a trip and I get a clip!! My surgery is definitely set for Thursday at 11:30. Anyone want to babysit Mark?

Had a massage this afternoon. It was a gift from a student and it was set to expire in June, so I took advantage of having "the time". Marshall returns tomorow afternoon from 5th grade camp. It's been "pleasantly quiet" this week here! Mark has been sleeping a lot so it's as if Mallory and I are alone!

Because of the surgery tomorrow is my last day of school! My poor sub!!!!

I haven't even thought of packing, Jess lost tonight the semi-final 2-1; so she's playing for 3rd or 4th on Thursday at 5:45pm........next Tuesday will be her final game in state playoffs if she loses that one........(she's very depressed tonight).......
