Hey! July 30,2005 Cruise to Mexico Reunion Thread

:woohoo:
it is freezing cold right now.....back then the weather was beautiful! (sort of).....right now we are having BIG winds....HUGE winds.....kindof scary how strong they are. We had a snow squall (sp?) earlier, boy if that would have continued, school would have already been cancelled. I did see our fire department heading to a fire - in these kind of winds, I don't know what they will be dealing with! I need summer SOON! Even though we haven't had much snow, we have had such freezing weather...I want this season OVER!

Hey Bill, did you get to the boat show?:confused3

Bob and I cleaned all day long, I got to clean the two bathrooms (lucky me) - want the place cleaned up before Tuesday when I won't be able to use my right hand for at least a week. Remember everyone, I want all the sympathy I can get this week.....I'm waiting:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

:woohoo: Whooppeeeeeeee, Lucy cleaned the bathrooms.....:dance3:

Those are for you, don't worry, you'll be fine.......:flower3:

Lucy........you will do just fine. Just remember my motto: "MILK IT, WORK IT, OWN IT!":rotfl:

So, JoAnn we know Lucy cleaned bathrooms today. I got my garage sale stuff marked (with the exception of the kids' clothes....maybe doing resale on those first), what did you do????:surfweb:

Well, I went food shopping and also clipped some coupons before that............thanks for asking!:rotfl: There is some work-related crap that I'm trying not to think about....................how's work going for you, Jenny?...........:)

work is fine........we sent home midterms on Friday, so I am 5/8 of the way through the year!!:lmao: :cool1: When we leave for spring break on March 7th, I am 3/4 of the way through!!

I am watching the Grammys. I guess it's because there is nothing else on.

I am off Tuesday. Lucy is having surgery and John is getting his braces. What an eventful day!

I'm watching them too........they're alittle slow moving, but there's been some good performances..............

So, question, do you guys have a math remediation program at your school? What is the criteria for admission? I have a student who has a 53% average but b/c last year's state scores were "Proficient" (just barely,) he was denied admission in the program. I can't believe it! Now, I have to tell his parents this bizarre story. Suggestions? :scared1:

Our remediation is based on our ISTEP+ scores (state tests). It is an after school program supported by the university. The university also administers assessments using doctoral students who are doing research. It's nice having the university here because it offers us so many options.

I cannot believe that they use only one source of data to determine needs. We use at least two locally assessed pieces of documentation in most cases.

Well, it's the first time, it ever happened! If a child starts to do poorly during the school year, can they get help, if they weren't already in the program?

If there is "room" for them.

Doesn't Tina Turner STILL look great? Man her body is still awesome! Cher looks great still too!:thumbsup2

"Rolling on the River" isn't the same without Ike though!

Ok, so that's the problem then, we have no "room" for my student. All I can say is that there used to be some excellent, experienced teachers in 3rd grade and now that they "moved" them all out for various reasons, our scores have dropped substantially and it is scary! There is something to be said for "experience!" You can't save money and expect good results. I'm completely losing it tonight.......can you tell????:sad2:

Anyway, I thought Tina looked amazing, and Beyonce looked alittle....how would you call it? What was with that dress that Alicia Keys had on?:rotfl:

How many days until the end of school? Oh I know, in our district we are on day 100 tomorrow........80 to go...........let's hope I stay "cool" between now and then..........:cool2:

What was with that dress that Alicia Keys had on?:rotfl:

I didn't care for her dress at all.

I thought I was going to cry listening to Kanye West's ballad. He had some weird stuff prior to that, but he had the audience with tears in their eyes at then end. Carrie Underwood got "the denial" again this year!;)

What do you mean by "the denial".........something with Faith Hill? :confused3

Kanya was cool, he's a loose canon but I thought he did well with his speech! I was alittle teary-eyed myself!:lovestruc

I thought it was CU who lost last year and was ticked. Was it Faith Hill? I don't watch it THAT close, so I probably got them confused.

I'm pretty sure that CU won and FH was alittle miffed, so I guess CU lost and did they show her reaction? CU is alittle controversial, apparently some entertainers don't think she should get so much credit.:confused3

I really like the duets! They actually pretty good!:goodvibes

 Boy, you guys got it tough,:rotfl: can't figure out where to go, when to go :confused3 ..... life's a *****...and then you die....:scared1:
