Hey! July 30,2005 Cruise to Mexico Reunion Thread

if I must get OFF MY BIG FAT BUTT one more time to answer the phone from Obama I'm gonna scream...of course, neither Bob or Bryan are home, and the phone callS have been for them.....i'm ready for the next caller.
For those DISer friends out of the state, and out of the country, tomorrow is a HUGE election day in Pennsylvania....tomorrow we SHOULD know if Clinton or Obama will be the democratic candidate.

I went to the doctor this morning - thank goodness it is NOT pink eye - just very bad allergies...got a shot, already i feel relief.
Then I had to go to post-op doctor - he was ready to schedule the next surgery - told him to hold off until after summer vacation. My right hand is healing very slowly, since i tried to stop a fall (with my right hand)

Bob is working almost every night in the next town, working on their summer musical...we don't see much of him again (this is NOT our high school)...so every night when i make dinner, i must think of something that will reheat when he gets home at 9:30.

How is everyone else? Off to see my 'mum'......

Hey Lucy,

NYC sounded fun, sorry about the eye stuff! Tara is healing, she had a rough night last night, of course, I couldn't sleep, I knew something was wrong. Tara went back to the doctor today and she passed inspection. She will try to work tomorrow. Hopefully, things will get easier for her now.

Saw the Rents this weekend, we ran them all over the Jersey shore, it was beautiful weather on Saturday!

8 more weeks of school to go............

they are surprising the kids and taking them out to the football stadium and there will be a smashed car, with a dead 'dummy' on the roof of the car, and a 'person' inside the car. Rescue units will arrive, firemen, policemen, ambulances, and helicopter, and the 'dummy' on the roof of the car will be taken in a body bag.
Then the kids will come inside and watch a video of the "person" who was driving (drunk) and her mother crying in the hospital because she might not 'make it' - well, as the video continues the girl does make it and the video continues, showing her taken to jail.
Our high school nurse has arranged this with support from local officials, because next week is prom night and soon high school graduation, and last year the area (NOT our school thank goodness) has had 6 seniors die in car accidents.
What a great idea, isn't it? I'll be working at the high school tomorrow, but I have no desire, as a mom, to see this....I have a 21 year old driving and staying out very late and a 16 year old who will soon drive - i don't need to watch this video, as the kids do.
I'll let you know the reaction tomorrow.

How beautful was the weather today.......talked to Tara tonight, she seems almost back to normal, glad to hear she's almost out of the woods, she's supposed to go to Chicago in 8 days...........

Jess's team lost, surprisingly, her coaches didn't play her very much and then they put her in defense for some reason............weird and creepy, this has never happened to her yet in the last four years, and of course, the team lost, she was so upset, hopefully, things will get better on Friday.

How's everyone else? Trayc is working on her summer internship (I didn't want to leave her out.)

I think the "scare" thing is good Lucy. If it reaches even one kids and saves a life, it's better than not to do it and lose one.

Tonight is Marshall's class music program. He is playing the part of a school child who meets up with Beethovan. He is approached by Beethovan while he is playing "Fur Elise". The kids were amazed at his skill at playing this piece. I guess we take it for granted!

Marshall and John will be gone all weekend. John will be at his dad's and Marshall will be camping out with the scouts at some lake. I am sure Mallory will be a mess. She is not used to being without Marshall! As much as they argue, they are close.

No, I am NOT SHOPPING with Mallory. She has too expensive of taste for me! We have to have our deck rebuilt because it is shot (a "hazard"). There will be no shopping for anyone! Our deck is MASSIVE...

I heard Lucy is staying "in" due to allergies.........I made up the "tea" thing, b/c Lynn put a shout out on Tara's blog..........Tara, of course, is recovering from her surgery and planning to see Jer next weekend.......TrayTray is trying to bleed us dry talking about Rome and asking for a "loan"...........Jess is still "in the doghouse" for being mean to her mother.......(she's hugged me 3 times today, you KNOW, that's not normal.......she wants to go prom dress shopping tomorrow, but it's not looking good unless she can come up with some serious damage control.) I'm trying to sleep on the coach, but, Ken is making me go to the movies.......

Allergiest have been horrible this week, I'm trying to recover!!

I already did all my laundry! Have a wonderful night and let us know how the Chinese goes!!

We had an art week this week, the children have been working with an artist to produce some carved wooden panels for the school grounds, they are looking quite good we have an exhibition of work on Thursday.

We had an art week this week, the children have been working with an artist to produce some carved wooden panels for the school grounds, they are looking quite good we have an exhibition of work on Thursday.

Mallory wanted Chinese and now she has 102 degree temperature! Ironically I haven't owned a thermometer in YEARS so when I went to the pharmacy a little bit ago I bought one. Glad I did!

Marshall is camping out and truely ROUGHING it this weekend with his scout troop. I cried for two hours in the middle of the night last night because it was raining, he's sleeping in a tent, and I was worried about him. Mark kept saying if he was having problems they'd call. I guess I would have liked to call! Go figure! I couldn't wait for him to go and now I am "homesick" for him and his sister is sick too!

Hey Lynn, worst cast scenario......let's meet for tea when I get there!! (You can have coffee, I know you don't like tea!).......My hotel has tea, I hear! The only problem is, you can't go away if you meet me for tea!! We're arriving on May 24th......we're staying at the Marriott right near Buckingham Palace.......should we make a ressie ahead of time??? I'm really excited to see your town.......this will be so cool........... How's Keith doing??

Trayc is going to London for a few days on May 19th and then off to Rome on May 21st, she has to be in Rome by May 22nd.

Tara is leaving on Thursday to visit Jer for his birthday........in Chicago!! (I think she's missing him!)
