I have to share my excitement with you. We'll be staying one night at the Poly!!

We had originally rented points for 5 nights at AKV from 9/30 to 10/5, but later decided to add one more night. By then all DVC villas left were out of our price range, so we made a reservation at POP century. I was not happy about a deluxe/value split stay, so I kept my eye out for another DVC studio.

Yesterday I was able to find a studio at the Poly and secured the points at a great price. We would have never been able to afford the Poly otherwise. I'm soooo excited!!

I agree, not sure the show will be as good from other places besides the hub. I thought the Hub was pretty packed when we saw Wishes last year, probably going to be worse now.

I had zero plans to attempt this show, now I want to!

Our first night (a Wednesday), we have dinner at Skipper Canteen at 6, perhaps after that we will just stake out a place in the Hub and people watch for a while...

Agreed. My MK day will be a party day in an effort to minimize crowds but I plan to park hop on Wednesday evening and arrive in time to grab a spot near the hub, sit, sip something yummy, have treat and wait for the new fireworks show in all of its glory. After the Fireworks we will head to NFL for a ride or 2 and then onto our BOG ADR. I'm hoping it all works out magically like I have planned

After the Fireworks we will head to NFL for a ride or 2 and then onto our BOG ADR. I'm hoping it all works out magically like I have planned

My best guess would be sometime from 8-9 but I'd guess 9 as the most likely for my dates since that is on par with previous years accord to old calandars. If it turns out to be at 8 I'll aim to arrive via the express bus by 6:00- I don't want to rush or find myself late and without a good viewing spot- there just aren't many chances to see in during the MNSSHP season. If it's at 9 I'm thinking that showing up by 7 should do it. If I'm early then no worries...its MK there is plenty to do. Once I see others take their places I'll be sure to grab one as well.

I don't want to be stuck there all day though since it is sure to be super crowded-everyone who wants to see it and has base tickets will be in the park that day-yuck.

But still ill be waiting to hear from first hand accounts from others and Offical Disney info. I'm just a first time visitor making guesses based on old data.

The limited viewings are making it harder for me to fit in. I will only attempt it on a Monday or a Wednesday. A non-party Saturday would be too much for me in MK lol
