Hey guys!! While the eye of the Hurricane passes about 20 miles south of our house (in Venice, FL; 4 miles from the GofM beaches), we are sitting watching the news in Fort Lauderdale. We evacuated last night, and arrived in Coral Springs a bit before midnight...we had no idea it would get to be a category 4 storm though!!!!! But we have our cats, and each other...just worry about our things...but like my dad said, they can always be replaced...

I hope everyone stays safe as well!!

I believe Barry is up north right now.

I thought I'd be fine, then I saw that the storm changed directions. I'm gonna finish up online quickly then fill up all my empty containers with water. I'm quite glad that my mom's shipment of bottled water came in today!

Oh yeah, Universal closed at 2p today. And Barry's in PA.

EDIT-70 mph winds expected, and it might change course again to hit my county!!!!

I heard on the Weather Channel, and on a local Fort Lauderdale station about Universal/Disney/Sea World closing early. Also heard Busch Gardens was closed all day today...which was smart.
