Hey Good Lookin.......

Yeah the description makes it sound like it would be sweet -
but it's not - it Big - but at the same time smooth.
It's my fave - next is Barolo.
Paul and I may splurge and get some of that when we go out for our anniversary next weekend.

From reading the description, I got that it would be very hearty and dry, Scott's not fond of the heartier reds at all. How are the tannins? If it's too tannic, he gets all puckery and gives me a dirty look for making him try it.

I've never tried a Barolo, either. (but I HAVE heard of it :rotfl: )

ConcK,

You got rain over there? Hmmmm More like a monsoon over here! Shrek is out back building an ark!:)

Chili Dogs (NY Systems from Rhode Island) Baked Beans and Potato Salad here. Must be something to do with all this rain, picnics indoors? :confused3

we have beautiful spring weather FINALLY

steak for dinner w/ salad

I Was Dying Laughing the other night about cutting the lady off w/ the 'scoliosis'

Happy Spring Everyone!!

I'm with you. I was hoping for Rutgers to knock off UConn, but no luck. Do you know if Candace Parker will start for the Vols tonight? She is a class act.

I don't know that she will start, but she has been cleared to play, but will be wearing a shoulder brace. I just know that I spent an obscene amount of money on good munchies at the grocery store and that I am ready for the games to begin!

I'm in the process of even making an orange colored baked pasta dish for dinner. In other words a majorily doctored up mac an cheese. It's a half and half bake, half how I like it and half how Padalyn likes it. My side is mushrooms, black olive, and tuna with a chili powder bread crumb crust. Her side is basically the same, minus the tuna with the addition of nasty chopped up green chiles. Kinda like Rick and Okra, those things are plain NASTY.

I'm glad she was cleared to play. I cringed watching the game when her shoulder poped out. I have shoulder problems, and have dislocated my fingers and wrists. I can only imagine how a dislocated shoulder feels. The look on Pat's face was horror. I really hope LSU plays a clean game, and doesn't go for the constant hard fouls. I know it's a sport, but I feel sportsmanship is above all.

My munchie list includes: (and I started early as the Red Sox game was carried in the NJ market on TBS) Left over Easter Candy; Cheez-its (there Vol orange); Cheddar Orange popcorn, carmal popcorn; pretzels with sour cream. MY beverage choice will propably be clean out the misc. beers in the fridge or diet soda.

I didn't even get out of my jammies today:rolleyes1 . It's been a long time since I have gone from a Red Sox to Devils to Lady Vols game.

:scared1:

That's BLASPHEMY! :rotfl: I went to college in Las Cruces New Mexico. Fields of chiles for miles and miles! They put green chiles in EVERYTHING there. (egg rolls, apple pies, you name it) and I became and ADDICT!

LOVE me some green chiles! I have to special order them now that I live in Florida. I even buy green chile powder so that I can make green chile pasta. YUMMY!

Hatch Chiles! YUM! Didja go to New Mexico State, rpmdfw? My daughter went there her freshman year and even at night, you could always tell when you were getting close to Hatch -- you could smell (and sometimes even feel the burn in your eyes from) the chiles in the air!

They are very easy to grow -- basically need the same level of care as tomatoes.

we're heading to Tampa tonight to see "Avenue Q" on tour at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center.

So...how did you like Ave Q??? Tiggr33 dragged me (you want to see a puppet show??!?!!!) and I howled all the way through it!

OMIGOSH Phil! When peeps start looking good, you know you are dieting WAY TOO HARD! :rotfl2: All we ever do with'em is put'em in the microwave and watch'em blow up!
Do they really blow up??? Hey Tig - can we try that? how hard is the microwave to clean up afterwards?

Tonight's dinner is going to be pretty basic. Cheeseburgers a la David. Take the lean ground beef, mix it with a very generous quantity of worcheshire sauce. Form into patties and plop on the grill (or with today's rainy weather, into the frying pan). Top with provolone and cheddar, relish, mayo, mustard, and ketchup.
You need an electric grill - I love mine - since I live in a condo on an upper floor with a small balcony and many fire code restrictions...this is my only grill choice.

Really??? hmm, maybe I can try this. I love the mild ones, and sometimes the canned ones are just a little nasty. Maybe I will try this after my WDW trip in June.

So, as Tiggr33 said - I tried a day shift yesterday...now I remember why I work nights, there is this nasty bright shining thing in the sky, makes it so hard to see the street signs and all.

Tonight I am in the ED...listening to highly intoxicated folks yell their unhappiness at being restricted on sleeping in the gutter in the rain. Another words - I also have to listen to drunks being cut off - but they get really obnoxious when told they can't do what they want. YECCH. tonight I babysit...so much for real nursing.

Great thread! Right now, believe it or not, I am sitting in NEBRASKA eating a Walmart salad with Pringles Jalapeno ranch chips and half a cup of Jim Beams whiskey.

Don't ask!!!!!!!!!!:happytv::happytv::happytv:

Exactly! Go Vols! But did I mention I'm in NEBRASKA with NO ESPN!!!!!!

But you have the internet...so isn't there some way to watch it online?

ok - why are you in Nebraska of all the places one could be??

Aren't YOU supposed to be taking care of some drunk? A more important question for Viki is why is your glass only a half glass?

harruumph - ever listened to a drunk yell the same thing over and over for an hour??? ugh. what a headache.

Hey Viki - time for a refill?

I don't mean to brag...

But I make a mean English muffin pizza.

Ya know, little pizzas, with English muffins, sauce, and cheese?

Yum! :cutie:

Remember I am the one who gets the Pepto Bismo commerical stuck in my head and I sing it for hours. OR I could sing that stupid phone sevice commercial you know the 877-###-4448 one. I should give you plenty of pratice, and Im sober......

:scared1: FYI, for the early game UConn was eliminated by Stanford.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The internet? I can watch it on the internet?

Well, not really... I am sooooo exhausted; it took me 12 hours to get here (car, plane, car). Sigh.

tee hee ... I'm here to train a group of pastors for the week in how to do transitional ministry and that would be WHY my glass is only HALF full ... I've got to get my butt up at 6 am and be very, very perky all friggin day!

So, please let me know the final score - I'll probably get up and check it in the middle of the night.

Go Lady VOLS!!!!!!!!!!!

My mom used to make English Muffins somethings - never quite knew what to call them - muffin, slice of onion, cheddar cheese and of course mayo!!

Tiggr - don't even threaten...that's not nice, besides babysitting you is a lot easier - I have TV, internet, books....here I have uncomfortable seating, no TV and I have to look interested....

You two girls fighting sounds like me and Corey. I torture her with music lyrics that I know will get stuck in her head for hours/days.....lately my favorite weapon is "they tried to make me go to rehab I said no no no" from Amy Winehouse. :lmao: I even put it on my Myspace page just to bug her with it.

She on the other hand knows the things that bug me like commercial jingles that will stay in my head for days. I won't bother to share with you which ones they are, but if it stars Billy Mays, you can bet that I hate it!

Yep. I got the world's most useless degree from New Mexico State. And if I'm given a choice, Hatch chiles are the ONLY chiles for me! Woo hoo!

They may be easy for YOU to grow, but I've been known to kill artificial plants. :lmao:
