I know I haven't been on since my surgery,and thought I'd update you guys.
Surgery went fine.
They removed the tumor,and gave me a knee replacement.
They also removed all but 1 ligament in the knee area.
When they were putting one of the rods in,it gave a little crack in my femur.
Now I have a nice long scar from the bottom of my thigh to the top of my shin.
It'll go away though.
The pain was really bad the first week or so,even with the painkillers.
They put this thing called a CPM machine on me,which basically bends and straightens my leg.
It helped alot.
I was released the Wednesday after my surgery.
I've been on painkillers ever since,but slowly lessening the amount.
The pain has gone away,it's just sore and stiff.
But that's because my muscle was basically pulled out,put back in,and can't be used until Thanksgiving.
No weight bearing on my leg at all,and they don't want me to start walking until around Thanksgiving.
The following may be TMI,so highlight it to read it.
From being on all the narcotics,it made me extremly constipated.
So bad I hadn't gone the #2 in almost 3 weeks.
I went today and it felt like a bomb went through me,that's how bad it hurt.
Hope this wasn't too TMI for anyone.
And now to get around I either hop with the walker or get the wheelchair.
I'm sure I'm missing some stuff so I'll probably update this thread again.

If you guys don't see me for a while,it's because of schoolwork.
I have a ton of work to catch up on.

i'm glad to hear you're doing well. you've been in my thoughts. i hope you continue to improve. keep us updated!

I have some extensive scarring on my thighs. I just wanted to let you know, that area does fade pretty quickly. I've had mine for...five years(wow it doesn't feel that long!) and the scars are flat and pale.
