First of all, check the Disney website to see when each park closes and when Fantasmic and Illuminations are scheduled to start. It may be possible for you to catch both shows. Both DH (disney husband....I know you're new disneypookies) and I love Fantasmic. It's magical. It's truly Disney. We would not miss Fantasmic under any circumstance. DH also really liked Illuminations, but he still likes Fantasmic better. I just thought it was o.k. compared to Wishes and Fantasmic. Just keep in mind, Fantasmic is more of a show mixed with fireworks. Illuminations is a firework display.
