Hey Disney, please get rid of that awful______

Everytime we walked past the Epcot Character Spot one day in September we noticed an awful smell-like vomit mixed with the pink stuff the janitors use in school to absorb it. We walked through that passageway so many times during 3-4 hours, and the smell didn't go away. Ewww!

Yes!! When we were there in Dec we walked in that part of Character Spot and we all couldn't believe it smelled like vomit. The CMs we passed didn't seem to notice, so we thought we were crazy!

by park:

MK
Update Speedway (smelly)
get rid of Stitch
update Jungle Cruise
show some love to COP..I still love it

Epcot
update movies in pavilions
fill empty pavilions
update U of Energy

HS
really really needs some help all around with food and attractions

AK
Get rid of the carnival area at Dinoland
not sure how I feel about the idea of Avatar land

Captain EO here too...I mean, I was a big fan when I first saw it in 1991 (and have a picture of EO Mickey to boot) but it's time for something newer.

Update all the animatronics. It's 2014 - don't we have some better technology for this stuff by now?

My two:

The "tombstones" out in front of Epcot. No offense to those with photos on them, but they are such an eyesore and right in the way at the entrance. Not visually appealing, and too much hard surface all around.

The "carni" area of AK. Sure I know the backstory and all, but it just feels so weird in a Disney park. Cheapens the feel a LOT to me in that area. I'm not trying to be a snob or anything, it's just something that struck me when I saw it the first time, and every time since.

just my opinions...

Dan

I am sure they notice, they just don't want to bring attention to it!

That entire area of Epcot smells SO BAD that I often feel like I am going to vomit myself due to the smell (and I have a strong stomach). The character meet always smells of vomit and/or feces, as does Club Cool.

Disney really needs to do something about it. It can NOT be healthy.

Whole lotta SFR Treehouse hate goin' on here. Why? It's the perfect attraction for kids, almost never a line, and doesn't take up much space. It's a perfect fit for Adventureland.

Also Captain EO? Of course its campy and just begging for MST3000 parody, but that's the charm! If I was going to Epcot this year, I'd absolutely take my kids. I just wouldn't take them again. One time is enough.

And Tom Sawyer Island? You're kidding me, right? That's one of the little gems that make Magic Kingdom so great. It would be nice if they added some food service there and maybe a foot bridge.

I'm guessing the people who don't like these didn't visit them as kids. They're nostalgic attractions.

I will agree on three things:
1. Stitch needs to go. Replace it with a Wall-E attraction (I know it will never happen, but still).
2. Booking ADRs 180 days in advance is a friggin' joke. I can't get into the most popular restaurants like BOG for dinner because of psycho-planners that book a vacation 6 months in advance. Reservations should open up the same time as FP+.
3. I don't get the popularity of Soarin' and Test Track. I'm not saying get rid of them, but they're just not that good. I guess they're the best Epcot has...

And one more thing - I'm good with making all the parents with little girls line up for hours to see a college intern dressed as a princess, but it would be nice to have more of the vintage characters just randomly touring the park.

I REALLY wanna see the Speedway re-themed to Sugar Rush from Wreck-It Ralph. Does that count? LOL

I always thought that the race track from Wreck-it Ralph would make an amazing roller coaster. Either that or the 'secret lab' from the emperors new groove! :cool1:

EPCOT:
Captain EO - they really need to make this into a Wall-E, Buzz Lightyear or Star Wars 4D movie. Something similar to Shrek or Terminator 4D - a top attraction.
Soarin - I think they are finally updating the movie but I have been saying this for years.
Do something with the Body Wars/Cranium building. The fact that it is sitting there rotting away is pathetic.
Another country in WS. Australia, South Africa, Greece, Switzerland - something!

MK:
Stich - awful. How about Big Hero 6 revamp.
Speedway - huge space for a more interactive ride like Spiderman
Jungle Cruise - yes, it is fun and tacky but I am over it. It is so dated
There needs to be a simple CS that serves some of Tiana's gumbo over on Tom Sawyer Island

AK
Get ride of the all the tacky games and carnival vibe in Dinoland and turn it into something better. More education hands-on things for kids/adults about Dinosaurs.
I miss the Pocahontas Animal show
Have something better than goats to brush at the end of Rafiki's train
I didn't want Avatarland but at this point, anything is fine because AK needs more.

DHS
Enlarged Star Wars area with another ride and sit down character meal.
Have Pizza Planet be a sit-down character meal for lunch/dinner.
I hope instead of an all Cars Land, they will do a Pixar theme with multiple rides from various movies.
Update Great Movie Ride

I REALLY wanna see the Speedway re-themed to Sugar Rush from Wreck-It Ralph. Does that count? LOL

This is such a great idea!

Mine would be stitch, I wish they would put something more fun there, maybe even another lilo and stitch rides, just a better theme!

Also I hope we eventually get away from all the Frozen stuff. Don't get me wrong, I love Frozen, but I think there is just too much. Frozen summer, frozen parade, frozen fireworks, frozen Christmas wishes, ect, ect, ect. Its a lot. The ride in Norway, fine, I'm surprised about them putting that there at all, but everything else is a bit too much.

I know it was a popular movie and a huge hit for Disney, but Frozen only counts for a fraction of what Disney represents!

17. Muppet Vision 3-D

I know it's an older post, and I didn't read through all 10 pages to see if this was discussed, but I cannot disagree with this more. Muppet Vision is an absolute favorite of mine, and is a piece of history; it's the last Muppet film Jim Henson himself worked on. The last time (I believe) he voiced Kermit the Frog. For that reason alone, it needs to stay.

AK
Agree with everyone here .. get rid of the carnival games in DinoLand .. it makes a Disney Park feel like a cheesy State Fair midway.

MK
Speedway - where you can find more exciting arcade games and "real" (no track) go-karts almost in any tourist destination .. these really are a bit dated especially for "Tomorrow"land and take up a lot of space. Maybe I'll go on them on my next trip with my 3yr old .. but other than that .. it is usually a skipper.

DHS/EPCOT
The empty spaces/attractions

I wish disney would get rid of
1) Stitch ride
2) Tony's Restaurant
3) Electric umbrella
4) Dinoland section, it sucks. I agree with the above.

Can we ask them to add stuff??? how about adding a few tree's in AK!??!?! Or something for shade!? ITS SO DARN HOT ALL THE TIME! :umbrella:

I'm in agreement with most of the people here that are of the opinion Stitch and Captain Eo have to go. HISTK play area too. My son feels that this space could more than adequately be replaced with a Dagobah play area, complete with Yoda animatronic and the cave where Luke faces Darth Vader.

Aside from that, I think that more attractions hold some sort of personal meaning for many people. As far as things being outdated or behind the times, CoP's "future" scene is about 20 years behind the present, and no one has mentioned that one yet! (still one of my favorites).

As for Monster's Inc., that is our first attraction every trip. It became an accidental tradition.

Personally, instead of having them get rid of attractions, I would like to see Disney start adding back to the ever growing empty spaces, especially at DHS. IMO, the only thing that would make it a full day park now, would be trying to get on TSMM without a FP! :-)

What should the Mouse execs take an axe to....

I have two.
1) Captain EO. Now this is seriously saying a lot. I am a Motown Mama, I grew up on the stuff, If the Jackson five or the temptations played anywhere within a 50 miles radius I was there. So for me not to be able to handle a MJ video is saying a lot.

that was 20 minutes of my life I cannot get back.

This was exactly my thought when I read the title to the post. My 5 year old son LOVES MJ, but this was sooooo loud and boring (and creepy) that I just wanted it to be over. 7 yo nephew started crying during it. lol

I second Stitch. Bring back Alien Encounter, that was awesome!
Funny story. The first time I was on AE, I remember the lights going out and the steam in my face. I turned my head to the side, closed my eyes and was screaming my head off. When the lights came on, the girl next to me, who I didn't know, and I were staring at each other screaming. We both burst out laughing. That was a good scare!

MK:
CoP - or convert the seats to recliners so we can nap properly
Stitch
Speedway

Epcot:
EO
Ellen's Energy Adventure (fill it with nap cots and massage chairs instead, might as well make the space useful)
Circle of Life
Electric Umbrella (gag)

AK:
Dinoland AND Dinosaur
Tough to be a Bug

HS -
I skip this park most of the time, too much crap that needs to go to list

I'm ignoring the drama :-)

I want Chester & Hester dinorama gone!! We are likely its target audience and I go out if my way not to pass it. Now if the games were free with a sticker prize as someone suggested, that'd be fantastic. But as is??? Horrible and so non disney.

If you are not a child you are not the target audience. Kids love that place. Same with the Speedway and Treehouse.
