Hey Boston folks, post your thoughts about Sir Gerald here!

Kim, I totally missed the person who dove in front of the Mickey statues. Hmm. I guess I miss all of the good things.

Ed, thanks for posting your pictures! They are great :)

Marsha, the link didn't work :(

Karen

Thank you, Karen, for all your hard work in organizing Jerry. The name tags were great and so were the t-shirts, thanks, Ed! It was great meeting other DIS folks, and putting faces to usernames. The weather couldn't have been better. Sorry we missed the Swan boats, but DD was getting tired, so we hopped on the train back to Braintree, drove home, picked up some groceries and now can relax!

Hope to see you guys again soon. Too bad we all can't take our WDW vacations together....::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

Now THAT would be a hoot! :teeth:

Funny story. We have America Funniest Home Videos on here, but no one was really paying attnetion. The host was talking about one of the clips and he said something about Jerry. Cam stopped what he was doing and yelled. "JERRY???"

Thank you for organizing a great outing Karen. It was great to meet some faces!! Can't wait til the next one.

We miss Jerry.

Thanks, Karen. It was great to meet everyone!
Great minds think alike - as we were leaving Jeff said "wouldn't it be great to have a group trip?"
We'd love to invade the parks with such a happy group of like-minded lunatics!

Now I REALLY wish I had seen the capering!! LOL

Camcolt- I just wanted to say I was so glad that you made it! Wish I had more time to talk to you! Next time!!

 To all the Disers I didn't have a chance to personally speak to!! The day went by way too fast. MAN are we tired!! I think Mattie would have fallen asleep on the kitchen floor if I let him! LOL

Kim

Oh and Karen..... I was talking about YOU diving onto the ground when I was taking the pictures! I can't get the words "we're following the leader, the leader, the leader. We're following the leader where ever they may go. Tee dum Tee dee........." ROTFLOL!!!

Thanks for organizing, Karen! :) It was nice to see some DISers, but the kids were being pests so we left after the Lobsta Mickey picture. :(

Did anyone else see the two nuns - in complete habit - getting their picture taken with the same Mickey after? We saw that as we were leaving and I wish I had had my camera out to take a picture! :)

Maybe next time we'll get to stay longer.

Thanks again!

Jill

Ha! Just had to add that in pictures 7 & 8 of Marsha's shots, my DS is the one in the blue shirt sitting in front of Mickey with his chin in his hand....most likely thinking his traditional thought - "I'm bored!" :) (DD is next to him)

Jill-glad it wasn't just my A.J. that was acting up! We had to have a little "talk"! LOL I asked my mom on the way home if he looked as bad as I thought!:( Kids!!! LOL He had a bit of an "attitude" going when we were over near the Aquarium-wanted to go in there instead!

And I just had to add LOL to the "bored" look! I know how it is!!

We saw the nuns too!! I think a group trip is the greatest idea.

:o

In the "back side" shot...check out the lady on the walkway on the right hand side of the picture:laughing: I bet she was jealous of the capering ;)

60 DISers!! WOW! Sounds like you all had a great time. I was thinking of you all and I thought of capering here in the house, in honor of the DIS meet but I couldn't get the crutches and the leg brace to cooperate!! LOL Hopefully next one I can make it and not fall down 4 days before it!

Thanks for posting the pictures, now if I could only figure out who is who!
:fish:

Jill, sorry you had to leave early! You missed some great laughs. We'll have to plan an adults meet some time so that there won't be any pests around. LOL.

Seriously, I thought as a whole, the kids were very good. They really handled all the walking very well :) And all of them were just adorable!

Ann, looking at those photos, I really think we need to work on the capering. We were on opposite feet the entire time. Next time we'll have to be on the same foot. Boy does capering make my hair big! I really look like :scared1: in that picture.

CamColt, that is too funny that Cam screamed Jerry. We corrupted on young mind today :)

Actually, funny story. When our boat was pulling in, and Ann was taking pictures from abover, and her husband was standing along the side of the pond, we were (well, I was) screaming, "Jerry. Where's Jerry? Do you have Jerry?" When Ann's husband started walking away, Paul and Tricia's little one John says, "Where's Jerry going?" So I guess Ann's husband is now Jerry. LOL.

Kim, I don't recall diving in front of the group or a Mickey statue at all today. And I won't believe that it happened without any photographic evidence, even with 50 witnesses. Sorry. Didn't happen.

Oh, and just as an addition, as people stood there looking at our group, I started telling them unusual reasons why we were together. I told one person that I was leading a group of world famous acrobats from Russia. I told another person that we were the Olympic Capering Team from Canada. Another guy who saw our Disney shirts asked us where we were walking to Disney World, and I told him that we were, and we had started our walk four months ago in Vancouver.

Overall, Jerry was a blast, and it was great meeting everyone! I hope everyone had as much fun as I did, and thanks for putting up with me.

Oh, and did you all know that I am really painfully shy? I just thought you should know.

:rotfl:

I thought all the kids were GREAT today!! Especially considering how we embarrassed them ;) :teeth: They are just kids, and it was a long day and probably some parts very boring for them!
(MY DH wanted to stay at the Aquarium too Kim! ;) )
We sat at lunch with JMCross and her two sons, the little one was thrilled with his Happy Meal soccer game and the older one was so knowledgeable about Disney!!

Perhaps an evening DISmeet would be fun when we want to REALLY caper ? ;) :teeth:

Gee Karen, we didn't really have time to prepare a synchronized caper....it was more of a "free-style" caper :teeth:

Well.....I must go tell DH he can't have my Jerry T-shirt...even though he's known by that name now ;) :teeth:

I am so sorry I missed "Jerry" today, but other obligations got in the way. But if I had been on the Swan Boats and Diser's from another boat had asked "Do you have Jerry?" or "Is Jerry with you?", I would have said "Yes, Jerry is right beside me." Because Jerry is my DH. He loves the fact that the meet was named after him. Hopefully we will be able to make the next one.

The tag fairy could have gotten some good material in Boston today! :rotfl:
