Hey all Providence Airport peeps...

Hi all

I was wondering if you all could help me out. I usually fly out of Logan w/ Delta... but am trying SW out of Prov this trip. On another post, some people spoke about parking. I usually get a ride to the airport but my coming home flight is late so I am taking the car this time and not making anyone stay up that late. I am not sure if I should park at the Airport or do something else, like Vallet??? We will be landing at 12am, then have to fetch luggage (usually have alot!) and such. Looking for an EASY and QUICK way out of there at that time of night. It is only myself and my DD so I need safety too. What are your suggestions??? Don't mind paying extra for convience and safety. TIA!

I would just park in the main garage. It's likely the most expensive option, but you'll be close to the terminal, it's well-lit and probably has great security, and I can't see why you couldn't ask for help getting to your car - ideally, a porter with a luggage cart but at the very least, an escort.

That said, I do use Airport Valet when I fly out of Providence. They drop you off, they pick you up, and at least a couple of years ago* they would have your car waiting for you at their lot - you wouldn't be driven to/near it and have to manage things yourself.

*Logan just makes more sense for me; second choice Manchester.

I always use Airport Valet. It is still the same, they pick you up ,take you to their lot,your car is waiting right next to the shuttle in a well lite area. And they help you with your luggage. Great service good price.

There are three garages right there at the airport. You can park in the "Red Beam" garage (the furthest one) for the same price as long-term parking and its a short walk to the terminal. No waiting for a shuttle bus, just go.

Right across from the airport is something called Pre-Flight Parking. Use them everytime. Gated & about $56 for the week. Shuttle brings you right to the area you need. Easy-very easy. Not a covered garage if that matters to you. By the way, Green Airport is a really nice airport. Small & easy to find your way around. I live in Mass & have not flown out of Logan in more than 10 years. The price would have to be considerably cheaper for me to go to Boston-& it never is!!

My daughter uses Airport Valet and says they have great service. You can google providence airport parking and find the various options. There are several parking services available as have been mentioned. In your situation I think one that weill drop you off and pick you up may work best unless your daughter is old enough to wait outside the terminal doors with the luggage while you get the car and come back to pick her up if you park in one of the garages. They do have the luggage carts for a couple of dollars you could push the luggage to the garage with.

missy, I would do as a previous poster suggested, Pre-Flight Parking, we use them all the time at TF Green. You park in a space, the shuttle picks you up right at your vehicle, the driver will put your bags in the shuttle then will take them out as he delivers you right at SW's curbside check-in. Just check your bags there and off you go!

I would use long term parking ( maybe same as pre-flight ) They will get you back and forth on a shuttle and help with bags if need be. I always TIP when they help me.

This past January we came home and the temp was in single digits. the driver of the shuttle asked each of us EXACTLY where are car was . He drove us right to each of our cars and waited for us to start our cars to make sure we could get and in start them . I call that service. Knowing after being gone a couple of days the car could have been frozen shut or dead battery that help was right there is great customer service.

Airport Valet is the BEST way to park and fly out of PVD. They will have your car running andready for you upon return. Super friendly people and excellant service. I have never had a problem.

missy, you can't go wrong using either. I've used both but just prefer Pre-Flight, but we didn't have any problems with Airport Valet, so it's a win-win either way!

I like Airport Valet because they bring your car to the checkout area, under cover and well lit.

In the winter, your car is warmed up and cleaned off if it snowed while you are away. I have used them in excess of 20 times,with 0 problems. That is why I won't use anyone else. I'm sure Preflight is the same,but if it ain't broke don't fix it,if you know what I mean.

Either way I'm sure you will be happy with either.

The parking garages are right next to the terminal-and it is a small airport so very close. The cheapest parking is $11 per day and $56 per week. Hope this info helps!

This is typically what we do. Works fine.

I've used Pre-Flight twice and won't even try anyone else. When you drive in you get your ticket and are directed to a parking spot, then they dispatch a shuttle to your spot pretty immediately. Even though big hulky dh was with me the driver quickly and without asking loaded all of our bags into the shuttle. Same on return, right to our car with help with the bags.

I actually found two different coupons on their website. If you just log on once or twice you'll get either 10 or 15%.
