care to explain what you mean by ALL sexual preferences?.....Oh no sorry, you don't DO explain, you just think yo're so samrt and try to catch people into saying that beastiality or paedophilia is okay....am I right? (sorry another question - let me guess you'll now say ...."Care to answer the question?")

It seems to be the accepted premise around here that hetero & homosexuality are genetic, inborn traits. So is that where it stops? Other preferences arent genetic?

I am not sure about choosing part, I mean I have known that I liked boys ever since I can remember. So no I dont think you get to choose altho I think some people make a choice to either hide it and I'm sure like the other PP posted some may "choose" to be kool or fit in, particularly in high school.

I know thru high school, (and i was there ten years ago almost) it felt as if being gay was the "kool" thing, thats what it looked like anyway. Now THAT I dont understand, you either are one way or another, I dont understand Bi, but it could be becaue I have never felt the urge to be with a female....lol

GENETIC = heredity.

If parents are straight it does not mean the child will be.
If the parents are homosexual, there can obviously not be a GENETIC offspring.

Blue eyes are "genetic", it takes recessive "GENES" from both parents to produce a child with blue eyes.

Ahhh - I get it now....so i'm supposed to say No some, like paedophilia should not be acted upon....and then you say So why shouldn't gay people suppress their sexuality.....very good - gold star for inginuity anyway!

Is it really the case that most people on the DIS or on this thread think homosexuality is genetic?

I've only skimmed the posts here, but I don't remember anyone saying they thought it was genetic.

Clearly sexual preferences among two CONSENTING HUMAN ADULTS can be acted upon. This, clearly, does not include beastiality (note the human part), or pedophilia (note the adult part). Pedophiles are attracted to children the same way I am attracted to men. This is why they can never be cured and once "outed" as such should be locked up. Abusing animals is also a punishable crime.
