He's torturing her cats....serious thread

Assuming this is indeed a quote from the OP:
1. We don't have her mom's address, so this proves nothing.
2. I don't see where ownership, or lack thereof, has anything to do with the fact that she knew of animals suffering multiple abuses and continuously stressed that she would not report the crime to any kind of authority.
3. She was not "bashed straight from the jump" (whatever that means). She wasn't bashed at all until post #12, after she had continuously shot down each and every piece of advice she had been NICELY offered up until that point.
4. I suppose a person living in New York with 2 children COULD be EXTREMELY sheltered, but I would have to think that at SOME point in the OPs lifetime she must have come across the concept of either animal services or the SPCA, if not both.
5. I really can't comment here without sounding like I'm hiding behind anonymity, so use your imagination.
6. To type out the atrocities knowing animal lovers would open this thread and read these horrible, not to mention specific, abuses, and then refuse to come back and say whether the cats were safe/alive/released/rescused/further abused due to the angry phone call/etc. makes her no better than the uncle. Maybe even worse than the uncle, considering she is abusing the ~5,000 people who have veiwed this thread and were unwittingly exposed to these descriptions. People who were outraged, heartbroken, disgusted and anxious to hear how the animals are doing are left wondering what happened and imagining the worst possible outcome.
7. I believe the reason for reading, replying to and following the thread is because people ARE concerned, want to know and care about the situation. There is a precedent of updating a thread asking advice once a situation has been resolved. People asked for updates on the thread. It would be silly for one person to PM for a personal update when it's obvious there are many people awaiting a response. It would seem more efficient for the OP to simply update in the thread, rather than individual PMs.
8. Sure. And consider this my snipe at OP's spelling and grammar.

I think I'm going to have to go with the troll theory on this one. That said, I'm glad there are no actual animals being abused in a non-existant, schizophrenic, bipolar uncle's apartment, but this is one of the most disgusting displays of trolling I have come across. I was debating not posting this at all, so as not to feed the troll, but I'd really like those who were disturbed and concerned to see how these things aren't adding up, and maybe set their minds at ease.

The quote

While this may or may not be a troll theory I believe she feels bashed on, however with that said, it appears that the OP has shown other post that seem nuts.

I was one who said to at least release them if everyone involved was unwilling to get them help. At least out in the wild they might have a fighting chance as much as I hate that alternative. I don't know, it's all very sad.

While I usually try to give people the benefit of the doubt, I'm also starting to think that OP is a troll. Between the various threads she has baited people with numerous hot button topics. Animal Cruelty, Parenting Issues, Drugs, Disabilities, Disrespect btwn OP and her mom, harnesses, etc., etc. About the only thing I haven't seen is strollers.

If these are real posts, I would encourage OP to get some counseling, with everything going on, and the anger that she has expressed, it may help more than turning to strangers on a message board.

How is it a good idea to send domesticated cats out into the streets?

Please contact Angel memorial in boston or animal control they will take the cats and find them a good home or at least help mediate something..

Since there is no update I'm going to assume the worst for the cats and OP doesn't want to update us or it was a trolling post. :confused3

There are no rules that state that you must give an update. After being treated a certain way a lot of posters have decided not to give an update. It is a right and not a requirement to leave updates. It is usually done out of respect and since she probably feel disrespected as the later post mentioned, then she feels she does not owe ANYONE any more explanations.
She has chosen to move on and I suggest that we all do the same. Troll or not, this thread has served its purpose:sad2:

Yes. This.

Hmm, new moderator? :confused3

Personally, I think she got exactly what she deserved on this thread.

Boxley, between being trapped in a home a being tortured or being set free into the wild, I, too, believe those cats would be better off in the wild. (IF that were the only 2 choices.)

The OP sent me a PM and she said the cats are ok and are being boarded at a No kill shelter. She didnt update because the thread got ugly...

she's not a troll. she's just a hot mess!!! you can see the type of persomn she is from all her "issues"

It's not. But when her only alternatives seemed to be to let the guy get his jollies torturing the cats or setting them loose, it did seem the lesser of evils. Maybe I'm just hopeful because we found a few strays that turned out to be wonderful pets. :confused3

While I completely believe you got the PM, I wish I could believe that was the outcome. :sad2:

If she had such GOOD news that they were safe, you'd think she'd come back here and share that herself, to shut up the naysayers.

I truly, truly hope this whole story was made up. I never could read the torture part because I know it would have literally made me sick.

I normally just ignore or try to be nice to people with odd situations but this was just too much for me. I tried to be nice but when she refused to actually do anything, it bothered me. I still don't think that most of us were rude though.

I'm bothered by the people on the other thread who have commented that anyone who said anything about this were somehow being mean to the OP. It's fine if they don't care but it's in no way rude to try to get someone to do something about a situation like this.

Me too. It would only make sense to come back here and update that they were ok. It really makes me wonder who has more issues, the Uncle or the OP.

You know, she could have kept them at her house and given them Benadryl to keep them quiet.
