He's Going to Camp AND We're Still Going to Disney:) Update Dec 14 post #665

I have to say my fav part of Dinosaur (aside from getting OFF) is the guy from CSI.:surfweb:

Beautiful pics Thanks for the one of the dragon :cool2: I havn't seen one before. Dinosaur is a must do !

Evening folks. Lets see if I can finish off the day.

What were suppose to do next? Hmmm. Oh, I know, an evening at Epcot.

After our rest and swim, we headed out to the bus stop around 4:30. Took awhile to get there as we arrived at 5:25. Sometimes, I don't understand the WDW bus drivers. :confused3 CBR is pretty much right next to EPCOT but they take a round about way to get there. It seems it was just the opposite of the direction we used from Pop.

Oh well, we didn't have much time before our ADR at Coral Reef so we decided to head right over. Just before entering we overheard one of the best lines of the week. We passed by two families waiting off to the side. A lady exited from the restaurant and told them there were no tables available. To which the other lady replied, "What, this is Disney. That's crap! :rotfl2:

We checked in and waited for about ten minutes before being shown to our table. Once again, we got another great table; 1 seat away from the tank. I took lots of pictures unfortuately, the fish would cooperate and pose for me.

Light fixtures

These guys always stayed in the same position and slowly moved around the tank.

This one was huge.

A fast mover!

For dinner we both had the Mahi Mahi

and our desserts.

The food was excellent and the server was fanstastic. We actually had a server from Ireland. Ragland Road (Irish restaurant), no one was Irish. Seafood restaurant at EPCOT, Irish server. Go figure.

After finishing up, we had time before Illuminations so we decided to take in Universe of Energy. This is a neat show and fun to go through. Hard to get pictures though. This was about the best I could do.

Continued in next post.

Great pictures as always!

We took a few more pictures and headed for the World Showcase to find a spot for Illuminations. Ended up in Norway, had a couple of Dos Equis and waited for the show.

This is a cool show. Fun to watch and this time we didn't have any ash blowing on us. We walked around WS while the crowd cleared. In France we split a Grey Goose Slushy. Yum Yum.

Back in Future World, we finished up EMH. I took a trip to Mars. We rode Test Track (lots of fun at night) and we finished the night with Soarin'. This was a long wait but we got the first row and it was another fun ride. I did forget about the really loud explosion at the end and caused a bit of a jump, much to pooksma's amusement.

The bus back was somewhat crowded but it was made worse by line cutters and rude people. Oh and once again, people not paying attention to their children. I guy was ready to get on the bus, while his little girl (about 5) went to sleep on one of the benches.

Have a great night everyone. Up next DHS and a few more random shots.

Great pictures as always!

Thanks. I have decided that I would like to get a dslr again and take that next time. There is so much more that you can do with a better camera.

Nice updates! Sounds like you had a good time.

I'm afraid by the time dh and I are able to go to WDW alone, we'll need the kids along to wheel us around. :lmao:

How nice to wake up on Sunday morning to some great Epcot pictures. The World Showcase ones from across the water are so pretty, as is Spaceship Earth behind the fountain!

I've never had Mahi Mahi, but everyone seems to like it a lot, so I guess I better make a point to try it someday. We have not tried Coral Reef, because overall, the group is not big on seafood. It's on our long list, though, because we want to try all of the Disney restaurants, so we will get to it in time. The desserts look scrumptious and very, very rich!

Great photos. We love Coral Reef. I had the biggest pork chop there that was so juicy and dh had steak. It's so nice they have a nice balance of seafood and non seafood dishes to choose from. My sister had to laugh, this year she also ordered that layered mousse in the coffee cup. When it came she said last year she has a picture of the same thing and the cup is FULL! Cutbacks happening everywhere:rotfl2:

We saw lots of people getting mad at the reception desk CM's at restaurants because there weren't any tables available. The CM's at those places were all so patient and they must have to say the same thing a million times a day. I have to say, though, the first time we went to Disney we did no research and did no sit down dinners. It wasn't until our 3rd visit we started to research and we really enjoy our table service meals. I guess these people need to live and learn too. I don't know what I did before the DISboards:surfweb:

It was a good day, very relaxed pace.

Just send the kids to camp and swear everyone to secrecy. Worked for us...so far. :lmao:

I tooks 10 shots or so of the fountain but I think I had two I liked.

Our server told us that the favourite dish at the Coral Reef was actually the steak. I wouldn't worry about the seafood part of the menu. It is really cool to watch the fish and we also had 2 sets of divers in the tank while we were there.

Beautiful nighttime shots of World Showcase and Illuminations!!!

Thanks, I was lucky. We didn't get a spot along the railing but everyone was sitting down so I was able to use my tripod.

great job!!:flower3:

Thanks, glad you are enjoying reading our report.

We didn't kow about ADRs either when we first went; but after a couple of long waits we quickly found out about them.

Honestly, we priced camp this year, and I think it's cheaper to take the seven of them to WDW! :scared1:

LOL

Great Epcot pictures! I liked the picture of the fish from Coral Reef...just looks like he is saying, "what are you looking at?" :rotfl2:

Great update and pics Declansdad. Coral Reef looks really good!! Loved all the fireworks pics. I can never get those to come out very good, but I sure enjoyed looking at yours. :) I also love you nighttime pictures at WS. I've got quite a few in the daytime, but your nighttime ones are so pretty. Thanks for sharing.

They were fun to watch. There were a couple of sharks that cruised around as well but they were too fast to get good pictures. There was also a very large turtle but he didn't come near our window.

Thanks Cathy. A tripod work best for night shots, along with a night setting on the camera. I have also used gorbage cans, railing and benches to get a steady spot for the camera.

I just wanted to let you all know that I just uploaded all of the Day 4 pictures to Photobucket. I think pooksma would like to do the next update which she will do as soon as MeMom finishes their journey through her Day 3.
