Hertz rental ?s

I rented a car for the 1st time using hertz. I used my debit card and the charges were showing up for a few days now today there is nothing showing being charged. I was charged a additional $200 for deposit also now nothing is showing. Is that normal will it just go thru again when I return the car?

Yes that's normal in my experience. The charge is only held so long by your credit card company. It falls off sometime during your trip (or around there) and goes back on when you return the car.

I went over budget once because there was more on my credit card than I thought when I checked in the middle of our trip. It was that the 500 in car charges had fallen off. It was fine because there was plenty to cover it but a stupid mistake to spend a few hundred I hadn't planned on!
So it's not a mistake I'll make twice
