Hertz or Budget

We will be staying at WDW for the day before our cruise. Which rental place would be best? Hertz says they will come to our hotel in the park if we call them and take us to their rental place in Kissimmee and they said they have a free shuttle at the port. I think Budget works about the same way or I can pick up a rental at Doubletree downtown. The price is comparable either way. Just wanted the experts advice on this board. Thanks for all your help!

I use Hertz all the time with no problems. I have rented from that location and they were great.

I have a question about these two also. Is there a special code for Hertz? I am a member of AAA, but can I use any other special code for more discount? When I spoke to AAA, they gave me a lower price than the 1-800 number and I'm thinking the price may have been wrong. Their office is closed now so I can't call to clarify. My DSIL is using Budget for their car so I know their price and I have a code for that. The Hertz was cheaper for me if they gave me the correct amount.

You can check AAA rates with Hertz on the AAA website. Hertz allows you to use the AAA discount and any pricing codes. They have special codes on their website. There is also a great deal with Southwest that you can use that lowers the price. It has been mentioned on the DIS.

Also check the price with a coupon code and without it. Sometimes putting in a coupon code raises the base price.

I just checked the Southwest code and I think that is not for one way use. I can't find any other codes for just one night rental. Am I misreading or does anybody know another code for Hertz that can be used with AAA.

Did you check the Hertz site for specials? They also have a category for AAA members.
