Hertz in Orlando/MCO

Can anybody tell me if there is a Hertz counter at MCO or do you have to take a shuttle off-site? We won a travel package and it includes a Hertz car rental. We are so used to using Tiffany that this will be new to us. We had a car rental in March, but I got it right at the Car Care Center at Disney. Are the lines at the car rental counters still long and dreaded?? TIA...

Hertz is offsite, but thier shuttle is great. I have always had one waiting for me at the airport and it is fairly quick.

I am a Gold member so I don't do the lines, but I have not heard complaints.

Hertz is great. The shuttle is always waiting outside. It is a very short trip. When you go to leave MCO check your bags curbside and then return the car. That way you don't have to take your bags on the shuttle.

We used to use National, Alamo and found Hertz much quicker.

I remember using an off-site car rental company with my mom back in 93. We had to shuttle over to the place and stand in line for almost 2 hours! Tell me it is better now!?! What is the Gold club?

There are other agencies that are offsite besides Hertz. Hertz is always pretty quick.

There is a #1 Express and #1 Gold club. Express is free, Gold you can find links that will make it free. Usually it is $50 a year.

Thanks, safetymom! I got the code from US Airways! Does this make the check-in a lot smoother? What kind of car is mid-size? I couldn't get a lot of info from their website.

The first time with Gold if I remember correctly you have to go to the counter. After that you just go to your car.

Mid size could be a GM or a Ford. I usually rent full size so don't know about mid size.
