Hertz Gold vs National Emerald Club

Hi there!

We've been using Hertz Gold club for some time now. We love the convenience of the car waiting for us when we get there.

But since Hertz is offsite we have to go on the shuttle to pick up the car and takes extra time when coming back to the airport.

We noticed that National is in the Airport terminal. We were wondering if the Emerald Aisle club is good and if this would save us some time on getting in and out of the airport.

I have used EA for every trip I have made to MCO, or any airport, over the past 5 years. You just walk out of the terminal, cross the street and you are in the National section. Walk over to the EA, select a car (keys are in them) and drive out to the exit checkouts and give proper cards. Takes about 10 minutes. I love it.

I find it only takes about 10 mins to get to the Hertz lot and drive away. We used to use National but found Hertz to be faster.

When you are leaving do curbside check in at the airport before returning the car. Then you don't have to load your luggage onto the shuttle at Hertz.

The road Route 436 going around the terminal is oval. The furthest point of the oval from the Hertz site is a distance of a little under four miles. And I can attest it is a very sort run time wise. The distance from the Hertz site to route 538 (the toll road) is under a mile.

Route 538 and route 436 is junction (clover leaf) into the airport.

The shuttle run is straight out on route 436 to Judge road. There you go left a smidgen over a tenth of a mile to Hertz.

Leaving Hertz to Disney is simple. Left out of Hertz onto Judge rd, make a right onto 436 and a left onto 538

Simple as that.

One thing to think about. You get a car in the terminal you have to drag your luggage to the car across the street. With Hertz just go out the door and onto the shuttle.

just a side note about 436

when we were there last weekend ....we use 436 to get to McCoy Road

there is Construction occurring on 436, thus the 10 minute time span maybe "altered" by the ongoing lane changes/closures
