We arrived in Terminal A at MCO at 7:30pm on Nov. 4th. I am Hertz Gold member but it's the first rental I've done that way and my reservation said "Counter Service" so I figured I'd have to go to the rental desk. We decided to "divide and conquer" so DD30 went to baggage claim while I went to stand in line at the Hertz rental counter. I got there and there were only 2 agents working- but there was NO line!! It gets better- while I was waiting to talk to an agent, DD came up behind me. When she got to baggage claim out suitcase was Right There so she didn't have to do the endless waiting! Anyhow... got to the agent at the rental desk and he said, "Nope, go right out to the garage, you are a Gold member!" When I got to the garage, the woman there said "pick any vehicle in the Gold aisle" so we got an SUV for the price of a midsize car. All in all a painless experience (which surprised me). I'd figured we be at the airport until at least 8:30 or so, but we were on the road by 8:05!

Glad you had a good experience. We are always on Terminal B and the selection over there stinks even with being Presidents Circle status. I generally just reserve what I need now to guarantee I will have what we need knowing that if a suburban shows up we could always switch to it. What can I say but our family is notorious over packers and takes advantage of the 2 bags fly free :)
