Hi all! Here is my situation. We are arriving in Orlando on 6/9 and getting a rental car for 2 days. These two days we will be traveling to Tampa to visit a some friends and will not be on Disney property. Our AAA travel agent told us that after these two days we would be able to drop our car off at the Shades of Green and then we would be able to get transportation to CSR where we are staying for our Disney portion of the trip. We plan on using Disney transportation from then on to get us where we need to go.

Has anyone ever dropped their rental car off here and been transported somewhere else? Or will we have to get a taxi to get us where we need to go?

Thanks! :)

I have done this. We rented a car for a Busch Gardens day. Hertz came and picked me up at the resort and then when I returned the car they dropped me back off. Was very smooth and no issues.

Also, it is quite easy to walk over to the Poly from Shades of Green and take Disney transportation from there.

I am trying to pickup at MCO and drop off at SOG 2 days later and it will not allow SOG as a drop off for me? Is this truely the case or is it user error?

I keep getting the same answer. I just assumed they did not let you drop off unless picking up there. I am going to call Hertz and find out. Will let you know.

Ok i called them. They don't understand why it is coming up that you can't drop off. She said you can. To get a price, she said use the Caribe Royale Hotel location. The price will be the same. I would call them to make my actual reservations though.

I wonder if the military is cracking down on entrance to SOG, only allowing people with military ID? I know the last time I was in Disney my BIL we went to SOG to get his tickets (military discount) and they asked for military ID at the entrance.
