Hertz + AAA question

I've reserved a midsize SUV from the local Hertz office to drive to Orlando for our trip in April 2010. I'm an AAA Alabama member, but I couldn't find the CDP code for AAA Alabama, so I used the one for AAA Auto Club South (which I found through a Google search). Will I have any problems with this rate when I go to pick up the car because it's from different AAA territory, or probably not?

Thanks!

You're a legitimate, card-carrying AAA member, so you should be fine.

Each AAA chapter has its own CDP number. For AAA Chicago Motor Club, the CDP number is on the back of the AAA membership card. You might want to look there or call your AAA office to know your Hertz CDP number in the future.

Hertz has never asked me to show my AAA card when I've booked at the AAA rate.

In the very, very, very unlikely case that they ask for your AAA card AND determine that the CDP number doesn't match your AAA chapter AND question your eligibility for your rental rate, just have them put the correct CDP number into your rental record at the time of rental.

Thanks! Though, I will call AAA Alabama to get the right code for future reference.

You should also be able to use your AAA card number and create an account online and get the Hertz CDP from their secure member site.
