Hertz - 8 Seater

Trying to sort car hire out for April. We are travelling from Orlando Int Airport on the 27th April, dropping off at Port Canaveral on the 7th May. We are a party of 7, but will need the extra room for cases etc. Found Hertz do an 8 seater and upgraded it will hold 3 large cases and 3 small.

I think I can book this through quidco?

Anybody got any experiences about Hertz or other companies that do 8 seaters. But I must be able to drop off at Port Canaveral.

We will also need it for 1 day to get from Port back to airport.

As always any help is appreciated.

Most times when we book an 8 seater we get a 12 seater with the back row taken out so had loads of room the last trip we had an 8 seater booked to pick up the day before we went home and the one they tried to give us was tiny with seats in the boot so had no luggage space we ended taken a 7 seater... That was with dollar and all the other times we got the bigger one it from the airport the last time was from a dollar on the 192 so the choice was not great anyway.

Not getting Hertz to quote me for a 8 seater for your dates, only showing me 7 or 12 seaters.

What price did you get? I will have a look around and see if I can do better.

They have a 8 seater available on website and I really don't want the 12 seater.

The sale link(ends tomorrow) has it at £310.44 then Quidco off makes it £279.40, can't see you doing much better than that.

That is the one I found. Do you know which insurance this is? Also, will the wife be able to drive as my spouse? What are your thoughts on the vehicle?

The Prepaid rates with Hertz are fully inclusive of all insurances required as far as I know. To add your Wife it would be £57 ($91)

USD 13.00 per day, maximum USD 91.00 per rental, for each Additional Authorized Operator.

We got free Hertz #1 gold card last year thru KLM website, gives free spouse cover with it. Not sure if there is any way of getting Gold now without doing 3 rentals per year. I am not really up on Hertz, only done the 1 rental with them, they are usually too expensive.
Never seen this car, no idea what it is like.

Thanks Wayne, I have booked it, seemed like a good deal when I looked at other sites as well. Hopefully it will be ok, not used Hertz before, but the 20% discount + Quidco cash back seemed an excellent offer.

As I said I used them just the once last year(via Expedia glitch) and wouldn't hessitate using them again, my Brother uses them more than anyone for his Vegas trips. Hope all goes well with it.
