I am going to hershey park on friday for a long weekend i have not been there in years can someone tell me about the rides and the other stuff.thanks dis sjw :thumbsup2

I was just there on Saturday. It was awesome. They have something for everyone. Lots of BIG coasters. Kiddie rides and everything in between.

Chocolate World is outside the park and is free. Has food court, a ride to show you how they make chocolate and lots of merchandise and discounted chocolate to buy. They even give you a bag of kissables when you get off the ride.

They give you a peanut butter cup when you try the new ride Reese cup extreme (similar to the Buzz Lightyear ride at WDW).

Very nice, clean park. Oh and they have a decent amount of water type ride too. You'll love it.

Ask me anything. Have fun

Glad you asked, dis sjw. I will be there a week from this Friday for the first time. I'm also going to do a little touring around the area.

Maybe you can report back about your experience at the park when you get back. Have fun! :teeth:

Haha, no WAY! I was just there that Saturday also.

I was there over Memorial Day and the roller coasters are awesome. (if you like them that is) Storm Runner is a most do. The park is nice and clean and very friendly. I want to go back sometime in July. Dunkin Donuts has discount coupons for it.

We are planning a trip to Hersey Park for next year. We will be drving and staying in our travel trailer. Can't wait to read about your trip.

Have fun and eat lots of chocolate :cool1:

I rode Storm Runner with my dd last year- I think I am scarred for life  I shook for about 20 minutes, lol. My dd loved it!!We go to Hershey every summer, it is a really nice park. Have fun. Oh, one hint-they have a preview plan-if you go 3 hours before closing and buy your tix for the next day you can go into the park for free!!

DD just started doing the coasters and bigger rides at Disney and Six Flags.

We hit Hershey for X-mas they do a great job for that .

So we will hit it this summer for sure.

We went all the time as Kids but Six flags is closer and we can go for just a few hours and not feel ripped off by not staying the entire day.

If you have an specific questions, I'd be more than happy to take a stab at them. If you've not bought your tickets yet, if you buy them at Giant, you'll not only save $9.00 per ticket, you're also given a voucher for a 32 oz. cup for each ticket purchased. Once at the park, you exchange the voucher for the cup and they'll fill it with the soda of your choice. For the remainder of the day, they'll refill it $1.05 (including tax) with your choice of soda (all Pepsi products).

Hello everyone! I will be going with dis sjw and his family to Hershey Park this weekend. It will be my first time there! I remember when my mother would say how much the air smells like chocolate! I am looking forward to having an opportunity of visiting The Sweetest Place On Earth! Both dis sjw and I will work together on a trip report when we get back! Have a great weekend!

The air around the park does still smell like chocolate and the Chocolate World ride in the park does remind me a bit of WDW rides, plus you get a sample at the end. The cookies are fantastic- I could eat 3 in one sitting with 3 thingees of milk, they are soooo good.

The new Reeses ride is kind of like Buzz's ride in MK. I go to Hershey usually before WDW to get me in the theme park mood!
