Ok gang. I have this trip to Hershey next week. I have been looking for deals on the internet for tickets, as with the gas crunch, we all are looking to save a few bucks. Well I came up upon Ebay and a gentleman selling 4 tickets for at the time $10 (there was still 3h left in the auction.) I discussed it with my hubby. Normally the cardnial rule of theme parks is NEVER buy your tickets on Ebay (Disney especially) and he said go fo it, just dont spend any more than $70. Now mind you, this would get us in all 2 days of our trip. So I bid and I was high bidder at $25 for most of the auction. I ended up winning it at $41.01. I was quite surprised. Thats 10 bucks a ticket. The guy emailed me immeadietly following the auction and said he was going to overnight them to me as the trip is next week.

Now the question, is there anyway to verify them? If they are authentic, I think I got a pretty sweet deal (no pun intended). Will I do it again..probably not. But is served its purpose. But I could use the combined wisdom of the members of this board.

Wisdom will come when you find out if the tickets are good.

We haven't been to Hershey Park for years, but they use to have a park preview--in other words your ticket gets you in for a few hours the night before you plan to go. Other than doing this, I don't know how you could find out if the tickets are good. They use to sell discount tickets in grocery stores down there, so I wouldn't worry if they were valid. The seller sounds honest! Good luck!

Our local radio station was giving away 4 packs of tickets last week, maybe he got them there.

I bought USF/IOA Tix off Ebay. I was sweating bullets until we got here but the tickets were authentic. The seller had moved to the UK, didn't know when if ever they would get back to use them, and included a letter that USF had sent him that explained why he been sent them. (They were resort guests, several of their days at the park were filled with ride malfunctions.)

any another advice from my wonderful DIS friends?

Honestly I have no clue, we have passes. I hope they are okay for you. Have a Great time!

Hershey's tickets are printed. They don't have a magnetic stripe on the back like Disney's. You'll be able to look at them and see if they're OK to use. As other posters have said, grocery stores in this area (I live within 15 minutes of Hershey :p ) sell discounted tickets. Park employees are given a few free tickets for guests each summer. Either of these types will be accepted as admission.

If you have any questions once you get them, feel free to PM me.
