I realize you're just playing with the numbers. I also agree with paying enough to keep things ship-shape.
I do treat my vacation home as well (or maybe even better) than my own home. There are others who come in and trash the place. No matter how neat we are, the housekeeping staff has to be kept at a consistent level. Just because all the neatniks are staying there one week and one housekeeper could handle a building doesn't mean that next week it won't be all slobs and require a housekeeper per floor and then some. The staff has to stay fairly consistent to ensure good quality workers.
